We brought our four kids, whose ages range from 4 to 16, for a couple hours while we were in Omaha. The two younger ones had a blast; the older two were bored stiff. As a result, we cut our time there short. I should have paid closer attention to the age recommendations on the website (2 to 8 years).

A good children's museum. Lots of different areas for different age/stage/interest levels. As with all kids museums, earplugs should be an option for unsuspecting adults! Definitely worth going to with kids of many ages....ours are 3 & 8 and we spent several hours there. Fun watching older ones help young ones; kids creating something from their own building skills; interacting with others as they immerse themselves in a castle, a restaurant or a store; discover new science options in motion and see themselves as an animated robot they created. Good fun.

This place was was very nice for many different age groups. From from a baby to 12 or more. Even the adults had a good time playing with the kids and learning from educational things. So much to do and see. Well thought out.

The day we picked was very busy, but we saw several staff members circling to keep up with all of the chaos. There were so many things to do that we didn't get through it all before our 4 and 6 year olds said they were wiped out, but everyone loved it. They had a few things for the little kids in different areas, which was nice. The bathrooms were constantly being cleaned. I recommend not taking a stroller or parking it if you can. Spent almost 4 hours there.

Always come to visit after Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed the quality staff. We even found a PhD candidate teaching the Astronaut Training upstairs. Our grand daughter loves the kitchen and store area. Good places for adults to sit while the kids play. Santa is the BEST. Holly the Elf does a great job as well.

Great place to take young kids. I would say kids over 10 will like it to much. It for kids 9 and under and they will love this place. Lots of interactive things for them to do. Highly recommend this place to entertain the little ones.

My daughter had a great time and really loved the princess dance party. They offer so many diverse activities here and did a great job of making you feel like everything was clean and safe. We spent about 3 hours here which was enough time to see and play with everything.

This museum is in downtown with no restaurants near by (exept a pub across the street we didn't want to take our kids too) - so eat lunch first. We didn't and had to drive 15 min one way to find food!
The museum was fun for our kids! They charged us more admission than their website advertised, due to a price increase which wasn't updated on their website.
They have an art area but no one there to guide the kids so all the supplies my kids could find were scraps of construction paper. Art is our daughter's favorite thing!
The grocery store area was fun also but there was only one check out register so the kids had to wait a long time in line after shopping.
There is also a water play area, big red firetruck, toy house, and a cow you can milk but it was out of water.
All of that is in the front section. The back section was their science area. That was a huge area for balls. There were cranes and gadgets, etc which moved plastic balls through pipes to a bucket on the ceiling which opened and dumped the balls out on top of you.
Our kids loved this museum and didn't want to leave! We found it limited due to the space but also the variety -- comparing it of course to other Children's Museums we've been to.
They do have a huge museum store but everything is quite overpriced, as expected.
We went to the Lincoln Children's Museum next and my kids loved it a hundred times more than this one! It is definately worth the 45 minute drive if you go west.

Is the museum fully open and accessible or is there a lot shut down because of Covid?

Kind of depends on how many children, ages, and interests. there are several floors and areas of interest and play. I'd say to plan on a couple of hours, but you'll see when you get there. I guess if a child is having a good time you could almost spend the day, but they might not like the various activities and want to leave after a short period of time, but ZI doubt that would happen.

The cafè is upstairs and has a great meal deal which includes an entree, drink, and side for $6. They have chicken nuggets, pizza, hot dogs, mini corn dogs, soft pretzels, nachos, and hamdoggers (a hamburger in a hotdog shape with cheese inside) for hot food. There is a large selection of chips, cookies, fruit snacks, ice cream, lunchables, slushies, juice boxes, and sodas as well.
