cruise on lake mead

Have been here before but to cruise up to the other side of hoover dam was brilliant. I don't think Lake Mead is as pretty as Lake Powell

Website says 1-1/2 hour, but on and off included. On at noon, backing out at 12:22 and back at 1:20. Actually was just a ride over to the dam and turned around. POOR food service. Stood in line for 15 minutes of 60 minute trip just to buy a drink. Food was so-so.Lots of people brought on their own food... More

Did the sunset dinner cruise with my husband and two teenage boys on a recent holiday to California taking in Las Vegas. We had visited the Hoover Dam before but had never been to this side. The coach picked us up at our hotel and took us out to Lake Mead. We then boarded an old paddle steamer and set... More

My sister and I went on the Desert Princess for a lunch cruise. We really enjoyed the relaxing cruise and learned many new things about the Lake and Hoover Dam. The food was affordable and good. We sat on the second level where Carla and Kathleen took care of us. They are both wonderful women who really care about people... More

Based on other reviews and just being in this area, I had higher expectations than what I received. We arrived at our destination and were promptly greeted. We boarded the boat, then waited to be served. The lemonade was weak and watered down, so my daughter-in-law ordered soda while my daughter and I stuck to water and ice tea. Drinks... More

We had a combo tour of the dam and a lake mead cruise with lunch. The boat ride was nice and the sandwiches weren't half bad. The speaker system was not working well so we couldn't hear a thing the narrator was saying so we just relied on what our bus driver told us before we got there and what... More

Great way to see the Dam if you don't like heights. The drive from Las Vegas is approx. 45 minutes if you are enjoying the view on the way.The cruise lasted about an hour and a half. Scenery was awesome and when you make the turn you get a great view of the Dam Lots of opportunities for great pictures.... More

We decided to take a break from Las Vegas and do some sightseeing. Of course, we had to see Lake mead and the Hoover Dam. We saw an ad for this cruise and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did! Although the drive was about an hour and a half from Las Vegas, it was well... More

We did the Hoover Dam tour last year and decided this cruise looked like fun. We had a such a great time and were glad we booked it. The staff is awesome and you have the choice of being outside or inside when it gets a little warm. We didn't eat but the drinks were great and the Bloody Mary... More

You have two cruises to choose from. We chose the the morning cruise and ate our lunch from the grill. Food reasonably priced and very good. 6 in our group and everyone loved their food. Bar service very good. Relaxing, and even one of the men said they would do it again.
