The cruise is well run with relatively quick boarding and informative guides providing a lot of information about the history and construction of the dam (much of which you find to be a repetition of information you have already heard on the Hoover Dam tour if you are doing both) but the cruise does provide another point of view of... A group of us decided to take this opportunity to go on a cruise to see the dam from the lake. Cost was $60+ A little steep. Dinner was decent. Everyone had something different and all said it was tasty. It is air conditioned, thank goodness because it was very hot outside. The boat got to the dam and spend... More

Lake Mead is an odd place; a huge manmade lake in the middle of the scorching hot desert, with vividly blue water filling the space between some really impressive rocky mountains. After seeing the lake from a distance we decided to make an impromptu trip down to the water, and after briefly toying with the idea of renting kayaks decided... More

We took a Lake Mead cruise in conjunction with a self guided tour of the Hoover Dam. The history of the lake is fascinating and gives you an appreciation of its purpose and the surrounding geology. The cruise we took was about 1.5 hours and it takes you all the way up to the Hoover Dam so that you can... More

I have been on this cruise at least seven times and can't wait to go back. It is a wonderful dinner with three different choices of food. A wonderful way to celebrate any occasion or to take out of town guest. I highly recommend doing this.

"What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning," my wife said. And she is right. We did the Sunday brunch, and did not know what to expect. After all, champagne brunch, mimosas, a paddle boat up to Hoover Dam, 108 º in Vegas, and a 30 minute drive to the dock. Well, we got there and we're the youngest... More

The Lake Mead Cruise is extremely enjoyable. We visited in September and loved it so much we returned at the end of May for our 30th wedding anniversary. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The boat is really neat as you have 3 decks to view the sites on the lake. The upper deck is nice on the return... More

We took a two hour sightseeing cruise on Lake Mead. The Desert Princess is a three deck paddle steamer with nice windows to look out. As they offer a variety of cruises from sightseeing to dinner cruises, there is also very nice tables as well. We went during a heat wave (110 degrees) so the air conditioning on the Desert... More
