I had a brand new camera, that I was clueless as to how to apperate it. Carl was fantastic at teaching me. He is very gifted at teaching. We went to some beautiful spots, as he showed me how to shoot the best way possible. I ended up with some beautiful images and a whole new appreciation for photography. I highly recommend this tour.

Even though we only saw a glimpse of the northern lights, our guide Rene did everything possible to try to get us the see them. It was cloudy and we had hoped it would clear enough, it never did but we stayed out to 3 am hoping it would clear.

Booked for the 4 day pass for the Northern Lights photo trek and while there is no guarantee that you will see the lights, it was a wonderful, fun experience. Carl used different sources and data to hunt down the aurora borealis and so I get to see more Anchorage along the way. It is a game of patience but taking photos at various locations help make the whole night/morning a wonderful experience. Will come back.

We were so glad you could join us, and happy we were successful in sharing the beauty of the northern lights with you - as well as the general nighttime beauty in the vicinity of Anchorage. We look forward to seeing you again!

"Down to Earth" experience. Personalize tour for just the two of us. Well worth the cost. Driver prompt and willing to adjust experience based on our interest. Could improve on amenities- snacks and hot water unavailable. Most disappointing was we has no access to photos taken by our guide.

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback - glad you enjoyed the flexibility of the tour. I am wondering, though, if perhaps you meant to provide a review for another company. I have guided all of our tours this winter, and we have always had snacks and hot drinks available. I have also provided photos to every guest who has requested them. Please feel free to contact me through our website at Alaska Photo Treks and I will make sure to get photos to you that were taken during your tour. I will just need to know the date and the tour. Thanks!

Fun & exciting tour! Robert was our tour guide and we couldn’t have been happier. He went over and above finding the best spots to photograph moose and the aurora. He watched over us and our belongings throughout the evening. His driving was superb on ice and snow covered roads. We felt very secure with him. The sculptures in the ice museum were amazing and the appletini was delicious! The hot springs were such a unique experience! The Northern Lights made their appearance to our delight. This was a truly exciting and memorable adventure!

Robert sounds like he took great care of you. But, it appears you were on a tour in Fairbanks - and we do not operate there. I hope you find the right company and give them this wonderful feedback. And if you are ever in Anchorage seeking help to see the northern lights, we would be happy to help you!
