The employees are very helpful and have all different types of brochures and information on any type of excursion you may have in mind. This is a very good resource It is also the meeting place for the city trolley tour that is about 50 minute tour of the area.

Mainly a place to book stuff and some pamphlets but otherwise could not answer questions or give advice about local attractions. Clueless about the Saturday market, salmon hatchery, etc.

The visitor center has a lot of booklets for the area, but the building is way to small to handle the summer traffic. the building can handle maybe 5-6 people comfortably, otherwise you are walking on top of each other.

We've stopped by this visitor center each time we've gone to Alaska. The staff is always helpful and informative and can help you learn about all kinds of fun things to do and places to visit throughout the state. Even if you have plans for your trip I recommend stopping by to see if the staff can help you add... More

This was my second visit to the Anchorage Visitor Center and was not disappointed in the least. The people inside are so pleasant, patient, and friendly and will spend as much time with you as you need.

We went here to get ideas of what not to miss in Anchorage. We had one day to spend there. We were given ideas. It is a very pretty log cabin right on a corner downtown.

Get the info you want in a unique setting; right in the middle of town. Try the reindeer sausage at one of the green umbrella stands in the area...something to tell the folks back home.

The Log Cabin Visitor Center has been around for AGES! And it's still a place you should see! From the massive piece of jade outside the front door to the vegetables growing in the planter boxes it's a must see when you visit Anchorage.
