Point Woronzof is at the end of Northern Light Blvd in Anchorage. You can hike or cycle out there along the Tony Knowles trail from Earthquake Park, or even cross-country ski if there's snow. The trail runs along the top of the embankment above Cook...More

Small parking area near the airport with a bay view and access to the Multi-Use trail (except access was closed due to construction when we were there). Nearby Earthquake Park was a much a nicer experience.

If you are out this way, it is worth a quick stop. You can look back at downtown over the water. Moose frequent this area as well. We saw two HUGH bull moose driving near here.

We went to Point Woronzof to watch the jets land. The day we went was clear so we could see Mt. Denali also. There is an outhouse and an ice cream truck was there also.

This is the place where moose hang out in Anchorage. No, we did not see any the night we were there, but still worth the drive and if you so desire, walk. Next to the airport so you can be under jets thundering just above....More
