Hard to say one favorite, but both the trip in and out of Valdez and the Denali highway were both pretty high on the list. The bikes (GS1200) were both prepped well and good performers. Michelle was pleasure to deal with and worked hard to accommodate all of needs. It rained pretty much the whole time we rode with the exception of the one day spent in Denali Highlands. The bikes had good tires and ran well. I strongly recommend top level riding gear and plenty of Rain x if you go there during the rainy season. Michelle stored our luggage and went the extra mile for sure. Highly recommended!

My experience renting a motorcycle from Alaska Motorcycle Adventures was excellent. It is owned and operated by a very customer-oriented husband and wife team who take great lengths to ensure you have great experience both renting and touring via motorcycle in Alaska. They are avid motorcyclists themselves that have ridden extensively in Alaska. As a result, they are able and willing to provide insight and guidance on routes, equipment considerations, additional things to see/do, as well as answer any preparation questions you may have. I myself was renting to ride the Dalton Highway and I found the guidance I received to be particularly valuable. They are available and work with your schedule to make things flow smoothly, will store your gear while you are traveling on the bike, and get you to/from the airport/hotel before/after the rental. The bike I rented (and the other two in the group I was with) were well maintained and performed without a problem. My impression is that considerable effort is put into keeping the bikes in good shape mechanically and cosmetically. Hard bags are provided and, though I didn't need, I observed helmets and other gear available for riders that do not have their own. So, in closing, if I need to rent a motorcycle again in Alaska, I will be back to Alaska Motorcycle Adventures.

I had planned on visiting Alaska and riding through this wonderful state. After some research i decided to use the services of Alaska rentals. I booked my trip several months in advance, recommend, and had communicated with owner Nancy. I finally decided on bike and time frame. She was very helpful and informative about the trip and where to visit. My biggest surorise was the bike when I went to pick it up: Nacy's husband runs the shop and picked me up from the hotel. I rented a BMW f650GS, the bike looked new, it had just ahd new tires and brakes put on and was sparkling! I have rented bike before and for a lot more money but, none were so well maintained. I got an intro to the bike's functions and was offered a place to store my luggage. After a thorough walk around and explanation of the rental agreement I started off on my adventure. The bike was flawless and the two weeks flew by! The biggest surprise is how well the bike had been maintained and the excellent condition it was in, this bike was 7 years old. When I return to Alaska there will be no doubt what rental agency I will be using, Nancy and Keith thank you for a great bike and wonderful service.

We decided to go to Alaskan Dalton Highway on motorcycles this year. Decided to rent motorcycle from this site. The very first impression was great after talking to Nancy who is co-owner of the shop with her husband. She was very friendly and helpful in terms of explaining all the details about the rental itself as well as providing information about best places to visit in Alaska. I did contact them few more times after initial reservation to find out some details and always got great answer in a very short time. Upon arrival the bikes were ready in time with brand new tires and full service completed as promised. We got all necessary stuff for the trip such as chain lube, extra oil, fuel canister, etc.. from Nancy free of charge. Nancy even gave us tank bag with no extra charge which is amazing. The bikes did run very well and I could tell that they really care about the bikes and service them well. When we finished our trip and came back to the shop, the owner was talking more about our experience and impressions than checking the bikes for any possible damage or so, which means they do really care about the customers and want us to get the best from the trip. I would definitely recommend to use this shop for your bike rental when you visit Alaska next time.

I rented a Kawasaki for 2 weeks in June. The first mailcontact gave me already a good feeling and when I was picked up at the airport the feeling even growed. And it ended when I was dropped at the Airport. The bike was in great conditions and every concern or question I had was handled like I was the most important customer.
It's a familiy business and that makes the great atmosphere.
A big thank you to Nancy and Keith for making my vacation that awesome

I had the opportunity to rent a GS1200 from Keith and Nancy recently and I could not have been more pleased with their excellent customer service.
As my ability to do this trip arose at the last minute I didn’t have the resources to do much preparation.
The weather was a bit iffy. Nancy went out of her way to make sure I had the right foul weather gear for the ride down the Kenai to Homer and back (and it was needed) so although I ran into some rain and cold conditions, I was perfectly comfortable!
Likewise Keith made sure I had a roadworthy bike. Originally I had reserved a KLR, but due to insurance coverage issues with their carrier, I was upgraded to a Honda 800 that was coming in the night before my ride. That evening Nancy let me know that the 800 needed tires and couldn’t be ready at my scheduled time. Once again they put my safety and comfort above their profit margin and switched me to a BMW GS1200 at no additional charge!
Although the bike had quite a few miles on it, it was in perfect mechanical condition and the ride was awesome. I covered the 450 miles from Anchorage to Homer and back in 2 days and was in awe of the scenery.
The briefing was comprehensive and even included suggestions about eaterys along the way! (Gwinn’s in Cooper River, est. 1952 is a must). Likewise cautions about speed traps (yup, they were there) and points of interest made it a GREAT ride!
AMA is a long-established, rock solid operation operating out of an industrial park. No glitz and glamor here; just old fashioned great customer service including a courteous pick up and drop off at the Anc Airport!
I am a repeat customer for sure!

On July 4, 2015 I flew into Anchorage from Cleveland, Ohio in order to motorcycle south central Alaska for 7 days. I have wanted to ride up from Ohio for many years and realized I was not going to have the required month to make the trip. I contacted a number of motorcycle rental companies and after talking with Nancy at Alaska Motorcycle Adventures I knew I found what I was looking for. Nancy and Keith have been running this business since 1994. I had a lot of questions in preparation and she was invaluable in planning my trip. The BMW GS they provided was superb. Per my request it had all of the features I desired. They will pick you up at the airport or hotel, drop you off and extend every effort to make your trip a delight. In my short time with them I feel like we are old friends. These are people doing what they love and doing it well. If you are looking to motorcycle Alaska call and talk with Nancy, she will help you plan the trip of a lifetime. I have ridden over 200,000 miles and this was hands down the best trip I have ever taken!

Myself and 3 friends just returned from a two week trip through Alaska on motorcycles. We rented from Keith and Nancy Hull and were more than pleased with the experience. From the first call I made to their company, Nancy and Keith have been friendly and helpful.
I would/will definitely do business with them again and highly recommend them if you are in the market to rent a bike in AK.

I've rented motorcycles all over the country and Nancy and Keith, owners of Alaska Motorcycle Rentals are the best. They're incredibly flexible and accommodating but also very knowledgeable and helped us plan realistic destinations for each day's ride. We wisely heeded Nancy's advice and it was spot-on! We put 1500 miles on a trio of BMWs and it went without a single hitch. The bikes had clearly been well-maintained and they ran like dreams. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I have rented motorcycles around the world, and Alaska Motorcycle Adventures is in the top one percent. The motorcycles are well maintained and in excellent condition. The owners are avid motorcyclists and are impressively knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time and will rent from them in the future.
