We went to Alaska for a on vacation and decided to take 2 salmon fishing excursions, we booked one with Regal Air and the other with another company in the area.
Let me start off by saying the office staff, pilot “Bob”, and our guide “Jared “ were so professional and made this adventure one of a lifetime.
We took off early in the morning and were flown to a remote are on the river. During the flight our pilot Bob pointed out key landmarks and filled us in on what we should expect during our excursion, the flight was an experience in itself and the water landing was awesome. When we landed, our guide Jared pulled his Jon-boat up next to the plane and introduced himself. Jared gave us a quick lesson on how to set the hook and we started fishing. I could not believe the amount of fish in the river, and within several hours we had our limit of salmon.
After lunch Jared took us for a site seeing tour up the river and pointed out points of interest and bear feeding areas. The day went by so quick and I didn’t want our adventure to end.
A few days after this excursion we went on another salmon fishing trip with another local company, but there was no comparison. The people at Regal Air provide you with an unbelievable experience from beginning to end. I am not new to fishing, and have my own boat which I take out to the Gulf Stream off North Carolina. The experience and adventure Regal Air gave us was completely different than what I’m used to. Bottom line is, if you want to go on a salmon fishing trip of a lifetime Regal Air is who you need to book with.

10 out of 10 would recommend flying with Regal Air for an Alaskan experience of a lifetime. We went bear viewing in Lake Clark and I can’t say enough about how fantastic it was. Our pilot Nick M was incredibly knowledgeable and shared interesting alaska history and facts during the whole flight and tour. The bear viewing was phenomenal and then Nick flew us to a wonderful beach for a lunch picnic which was the perfect way to end the tour.
The entire operation at Regal is extremely well run from top to bottom and you can really tell how much pride they take in providing their passengers with top notch service while also always keeping safety a top priority. I can’t recommend Regal enough for all of your Alaskan flight seeing and charter needs.

M Graham,
Thank you for this response. It so awesome to hear when our passengers see our deidication to the whole experience, not just in the airplane. Safety is always our number one priority, but after that it is fully the customer experience, starting when your foot first touches our office. So glad to hear you enjoyed the bear viewing and had a great trip with Nick M., he's one of the best!
THANKS

Spectacular trip. The highlight of our 2 weeks in Alaska (which included cruising the inside passage, and visiting Denali National Park. We flew Anchorage to Kulik Island then to Brooks Falls. Pilot Steve inspired tremendous confidence, and was great at narrating the views from the plane. Float plane ride also fun. Bear school with the Rangers was excellent. Brooks is FABULOUS, we saw over 30 bears, at very close range, and were provided with an excellent lunch.
Expensive and worth every penny!
Be sure to bring a mask-- required at the park and on the platform.

Regal Air was so easy to work with and very accommodating when re-scheduling our trip to Lake Clark due to weather. Third time was the charm and we were able to safely head out with Bob as our pilot. I 100% recommend Bob, he was awesome! He took the time to re-assure my friend who was nervous about the flight and experience. Bob went above and beyond to show and explain interesting facts about Lake Clark beyond just seeing the bears. Beyond the bear viewing, he taught the kids about quicksand, jade, gold deposits and pointed out wolf tracks in the sand. Bob used his expertise to ensure we had a safe, fun and memorable experience. I will definitely recommend not only Regal Air to visiting family, but I will have them ask for Bob to be their pilot.

I cannot recommend Regal Air enough. I've flown with them twice now and each flight was unique and insightful.
The most recent flight was a 3 hour trip to see glaciers and it didn't disappoint; from the knowledge of the pilots to the locations they're able to access, the whole experience from start to finish was excellent and very reasonably priced for a once in a lifetime experience.
If you're in the area and looking for a reputable, reliable, knowledgable and friendly company to fly with... Regal Air is that company.

Thank you to pilot Eric and the entire Regal Air crew for a great trip to Brooks Falls for bear viewing. Our group of 9 had a great trip on the Navajo plane and appreciate Eric’s skillful instrument flying in low visibility conditions. We also appreciated his stories and insights. Our crew on the floater plane was also fantastic. Highly recommend this airline.

We did 3 Float Plane adventures with Regal Air. Our first pilot, Ry, was so fun and he took us to Blackstone Glacier and it was BREATHTAKING and we were fortunate the weather was perfect and landing on that glassy water was stunning. The next adventure we took was to Denali and Nic Peters was our pilot. Nic was very fun and has a lot of interesting facts about the area. The mountain views with the sun were unbelievable. We landed on Chelatna Lake and the water was a gorgeous green that looked like glass. The last float plane we took was to Katmai which Nic was also our pilot. This trip was a full day and we had hoped to see the bear during the salmon run however I believe we were just a bit early for this. Luckily the flight down and back was totally worth the trip as the scenery was gorgeous. I would highly recommend Regal Air if you are making the trip to Anchorage, AK for some fantastic sight seeing.

Julie,
First, thank you and your whole family for taking this big chance with Regal Air, it was a large investment to do all the flying that you did. That being said, it sounds like you had an amazing experience on all of your flights. So glad our pilots and our State were able to meet your expectations and create some memories. Thanks again for your business and your kind words!!!!

We booked a trip to Lake Clark to watch bears! Our pilot, Bret, was very professional and friendly! He was skilled and it was obvious that he wanted to give us a maximum experience. The day before our trip with him we had flown with a competitor to Katmai and I have to say that Bret’s personality and interest in our Lake Clark experience was much better. We had a most enjoyable day with the bears!

So glad to hear you had a good trip to see the bears. I have to say not too many people do not enjoy this one. Happy to hear Brett was enthusiastic and enjoyable - sorry to hear about the competitor. Thanks again for your business!

My wife and I recently took the vacation of our lives in Alaska. One of the highlights of that trip was our trip via Regal Air to Katmai National Park and Brooks Falls for the bear viewing. The trip down to Katmai itself was awesome, tremendous scenery all the way down to King Salmon Airport, then a quick float plane trip onto the lake at Brooks Camp in Katmai. There were dozens of brown bear after the salmon. We saw most of them actually, including many young ones down by the bridges and walkways near the camp. We had a slight wait to get on to the upper viewing platform (restrictions because of Covid) there weren't as many bears there, but they were huge. All the rangers were great. We did get caught in a 'bear jam' when we had to wait for a bear to clear the path back. Our guide/pilot Eric was terrific, very friendly, accommodating and full of knowledge.

We absolutely LOVED our experience with Regal Air! Tony was awesome from the start at communicating with us and getting us set up for what we were looking for, great guy! We did both Katmai and Lake Clark bear watching tours and both were a blast! Eric was our pilot for Katmai, he gave us lots of helpful tips for the best way to see bears in the park, and never once did we worry about safety. He also took the scenic route home since the weather was nice and we loved that! The next day we returned for Lake Clark and went out with Troy as our pilot/guide. Troy was also fantastic, very kind and informative! He gave us a great experience by allowing us to get up a bit closer with the bears while respecting their space and our safety. We loved every minute! Lake Clark may have been my personal favorite because there were no crowds, however both were can’t miss experiences! I will 100% travel with Regal Air again in the future if given the opportunity, and already recommended these guys to other travelers we met throughout our trip! Thanks for such a fun time! Y’all take care!
