Advertising that you feel like you are part of the race. But, except for one small squirt of snow there is no other interaction except for watching a movie. There are no shaking of seats or coldness in the theatre to simulate a ride on a musher sled

We visited the ice cream shop at the bear square. The ice cream was decent enough but the service was lackluster. We had a party of 6 and after taking two of our orders they moved on to another customer? My husband and I tried paying and inquired on a military discount to which the young man stated "yes we... The theater has all kinds of things to check out - two great films, lots of photo ops, a simulated hot air balloon ride, and a simulated fishing game. The Iditarod film has historical background, modern info about the race, and fun special effects. The grizzly bear film is cute and entertaining, and yet informative. I highly recommend both films... The movies were phenomenal both were very educational. One about the iditarod and the other about grizzly bears . If anyone wants to have... More

Two movies were available to watch at the Bear and Raven Theater. One on Bears and the other on the Iditarod. The Bear movie was cute and fun, but provided information on the bears with a funny voice over from a local talent. The Iditarod movie was educational on the history behind the original serum relay and the modern day... More

We saw the movie about the Iditorad race, which had old footage as well as new. For those who don't know about the race, it would be educational. The "special effects" were pretty hokey.

Saw both movies at the Bear & Raven Adventure Theatre but did not bother trying on clothes and the photo op. Best part was talking with the owner/manager - she gave us a lot of good information about Alaska and how the films were made. Films themselves were great - very informative and good cinematography. Theatre seats were comfortable and... More
