Traveling alone with an eleven year old grandchild caused me to look carefully for fun, educational, yet exciting activities. The Anchorage Museum was a "must do" attraction for me. I wanted to be sure to expose her to the history and the culture of the area. Our visit was excellent, but became outstanding when we reached the Imaginarium Discovery Center.... More

What a wonderful way to spend time with family! The Imaginarium has changed exhibits around, provides fun hands-on science activities for kids (but, they'll let adults participate), and provides a STEM room full of fun science activities for kids to enjoy (snap-circuits are a favorite). The touch-pool, bubbles, toddler only play area, and countless "please touch and explore" areas can... More

I think all the ideas are great. However, this has outgrown it's space. This really needs to be it's own "Children's Museum". When there is a line of adults waiting for a turn at exhibits geared toward kids and young adults, then it is time for a change. I watched a grown woman snatch a ball out of a child's... More

This is a wonderful place formkids and the adults were totally enjoying it too! Lots of interactive activities based on science. Young people as docents were very knowledgeable. An unexpected treat while we waited for our tour to begin.

The Children's Museum (which this place is a part of) needs to update their websites to help non-residents (aka tourists) get to this place. There was so much constructions and detours. Additionally, we could not find out how to get to the underground parking of the building. Took us seriously almost 1 1/2 hours to finally find a conveniently located... More

My 3 Panamanian visitors all so enjoyed the Imaginarium Center. The 6 year old seemed to be facinated by most of the wonderful exhibits. She even was able to pull herself up high in the gravity chair. This is truly a valuable, very well done attraction that all should visit in Anchorage !

Great place to visit if you have kids. It's all interactive scientific demonstrations and the kids never tire of it. We go a few times a year. It's in the Anchorage Museum which has a fabulous Alaskan native exhibit upstairs.

This attraction is for kids 6 and below. However I must admit I played with a few things as well. There are lots of hands on stuff to explore.
