Avoid I81. VDOT should have to drive this horrific corridor everyday. Forget scenery/ all you have is truck traffic that imperils your life. Delays , accidents happen daily. Stay on Route 11 or any other route except this one.

It is full of great information about all the fish,and the hatchery itself.We did not make it for a tour,however we were ab le to walk through and check things out on our own.It was very clean,and worth the stop for sure!

Don't bring your rod and reel from home, use the Dept of fish and Game. You can use their rod and reels for FREE!!! That's right free, call Ranger Ryan he'll set you up, plus send you info on where to fish and what lures...More

Although there was no tour- we were able to get out and watch the salmon. There were hundreds of them and once or twice they were trying to fly up the rapids.

Provides free information about Alaska fishing and hunting opportunities. Game and Fish biologists can provide department documented unbiased information. Fish and wildlife mounts on view in the building.

Went to the Beyond Outdoor Women weekend. It was awesome, all of the Fish & Game People are very nice and the weekend was awesome. So many opportunities to try new things and awesome teachers to help!
