Allée des Arts is a promenade located in front of the beach, in Port-Bacarés, a Mediterranean city in Occitanie Region, in the South of France. In this promenade, you can see some Contemporánean artworks, so it is a nice place to walk in summer. In fact, some of artworks have been done with cargo ships box, so it is a very good recycling. Very nice place to walk and see the Sea and this openair museum.

Created in 1969 as the first public art museum open air in France, the Allée des Arts is now starting to look slightly tired. Situated along the shoreline the sculptures range from 2.5 to 15m in height and many can be climbed / played on. The works of art start with the new addition of eight totems-poles situated by Le Lydia (the beached ship) then are situated every 10m or so as one walks northwards.

The “Avenue des Arts” as Le Barcares was probably once great, but has not been looked after and most the description signs are now missing. Still great modern art - just passed its best.

Just set back from the main beach near the Lydia (beached ship). This walk goes down the front with restaurants, bars and shops close by. A good place to go in the cool of the evening for a romantic stroll followed by a drink, ice cream, or meal.

You know you are in France instead of the Jersey Shore, when the boardwalk has an outdoor art gallery. Open to the winds, it has exquiste, weathered sculptures (although the descriptions are not in English). Also, the sculptures make good landmarks for directions.Lovely addition to BarCares

Alles des art is an outdoor art gallery along the sea front of barcares. Is a perfect place for all, adult and kids.
