I’ve chartered on the East and West coasts and have yet to come across any charter company that remotely comes close to what I call the, “Windworks Standard”.
From the detailed and thorough checkout procedures to the quality of the available charter fleet, Victor and his professional staff have truly built a 5 Star destination for anyone wanting to start sailing lessons, refresh their sailing skills, charter for the day/weekend or simply have a licensed captain take you out for cruise. Just go walk the docks and see for yourself.
The facility is clean, the vessels are clean and everyone with Windworks wants to make sure you have a safe and unforgettable experience.
Life is short, take the trip. So go GET ON A BOAT and start making memories. You’ll be glad you took that that first step at Windworks.

Instruction offered uses the U.S. Sailing curriculum and topnotch instructors. Last weekend we went out on one of their Capri 22s with Ulalee and had a great experience. We highly recommend Windworks and are excited to continue gaining experience and certifications through thier education program.

I had the privilege to work with Victor Evans and his dad Mark to purchase a really nice, clean Catalina 400 that Victor brought to my attention last summer by email through my Windworks fleet membership. Victor and I toured the boat within a few days. He and his dad walked me through the intricacies of what purchasing this boat and entering it into their charter fleet would involve, but also offered that I could just purchase it outright. And that's the path that worked best for my wife and me. Victor was extraordinarily helpful in greasing all the skids necessary to acquire my new purchase. He's not only an exceptional sailor, but he knows the ins and outs of boat acquisition really well and is honest. That goes a long way these days!

Our sailing skills were rusty and we needed certification to charter. We joined Windworks and first took Powerboating certification with instructor Brian Gross. We just finished our Basic Keelboat series and had requested Brian again. Brian is a fantastic teacher. He is patient, matches instruction to individual needs and adds humor and unique sailing life hacks to simplify the mechanics. We’ve taken out one of the fleet Catalina Capris 22 twice since getting certified - one day w light rain, and another with winds at 10 plus mph. We felt confident leaving and returning to dock and sailing on the sound. Windworks dock support is also excellent. Everyone has been helpful and thanks to Victor - we now have the outboard motor start down. We are looking forward to a few more sails on the 22s and then heading into Basic Cruising - with Brian Gross again as our instructor.

Windworks is very easy to deal with. The boat was very clean and came exceptionally well equipped. We wanted a bbq and dingy which they provided. There were several boat choices which was a little surprising given we were out for 10 days. We settled on a 2023 Bavaria 28 which comfortably held 6 adults which was also surprising. Highly recommend this boat and Windworks.

We’ve taken lessons and chartered multiple times with Windworks, and each time has been a success! Whether it’s a three-day charter, a 7-day trip to the San Juans, or just a day sail out of Shilshole, the support has been awesome. Helpful staff, top-notch sailing fleet. Best sailing club option in the Puget Sound!

Windworks is a very professional group of folks who put together charters. We booked a captain and sailboat (it was 34') for 4 of us. It was quite expensive, but worth it for us. The wind was not as cooperative as we would have liked, but the captain (a very cool guy, by the way) found some and we sailed around.

Windworks has the components that in my view, are required of a great school:
1. Proven fundamentals - in the form of US Sailing syllabus, training materials, certification tests.
2. Knowledgeable and friendly instructors - everyone I have met over 6 training session has been an absolute delightful person to spend the day with. Their lead instructor, Director of Sailing, Will Roadman runs a friendly, enthusiastic, energized, and phenomenal shop!
3. A fleet of new, clean, well equipped sailboats, supported by:
4. A competent and professional dock team! Always helpful, supportive and smiling!

Windworks has a great fleet of vessels and fantastic instruction. As a US Sailing affiliate they offer the full suite of US Sailing Certifications. The location is perfect and the staff is phenomenal. Schedule a lesson with Nancy, who is both patient and superiorly knowledgeable! I cannot say enough good things about the experience.

Took Basic Powerboat Cruising 101 and 102 with Victor at Windworks. Starting with clear communication in the days leading up to the course and continuing with the on water instruction I was given the tools and theory to become a much more proficient boater. Thanks to Victor and the team at Windworks. I would highly recommend.
