Relaxing area
Jul 2021
We walked around this fountain several times before we ever saw it on. Great place to relax on way to/from the Needle or MoPop. There are public restrooms nearby.

Interesting Water Fountain
Jul 2021
This fountain is located in Seattle Center and was built for the World's Fair in 1962, same year as the Space Needle. It has intermittent sprays that shoot up at intervals. If you stop and watch it long enough you can notice the patterns programmed into the water displays. Sometimes it is lit up with different colored lights at night. It is designed as easy to walk into, so it's a popular place on hot days with people running in and out of the fountain. It's a nice place to sit and relax, but honestly, I would not make a special trip to Seattle Center just to see this fountain. If you're at the Center, check it out.

Under renovation and blocked off
Jun 2021 • Friends
The fountain still operates but it’s behind chain link fencing so you can’t sit and enjoy it. Oh well, the rest of the Seattle Center park is enjoyable.

Rather the view the Space Needle, we viewed this fountain for free.

The free park was on grounds of world fair. The park was nicely landscaped. Kids can dart between the water sprays. (I am not sure the the skateboarders can practice their trade here). If you are in this area for a walk, it is a free site to see.

Fun fountain.

Happy mistake! I was ust randomly walking around in this area and came across this. Seeing how happy the kids were playing in it made my day. It has quite the range on the fountain too! I would've loved to have a bike or skateboard to go around the circle. I'm not sure if it's allowed, but I saw a little kid doing it and felt envy.

Great Spot for Lunch
Jan 2020
Lunch, dinner a snack, sitting and staring at the water; it's overall one of my favorite places to just sit and hang out in Seattle Center. It's almost always lively, or at least a fun place to watch. But if you're looking for something exciting and blood-pumping, probably look for something a little different.

Fun
Sep 2019
This dome shaped fountain is fun and interesting. The water jets dance to music & some shoot many stories into the air. On a hot day you can walk down and under the water sprays.

Great for kids and young at heart to play in the water.

Who needs to pay for a waterpark when you can come here with your kiddos and get wet by an enormous silver dome spewing out sprays of water unpredictably for free? This would be a great stopover on a hot day, with a grassy area nearby and a fun playground complete with 2D labyrinth and swingy swings. Music was not playing on the loudspeakers when we visited but we enjoyed the display while sitting on the concrete perimeter and imagined the 1962 World's Fair with the Space Needle standing in front of us. "...To infinity -- and beyond!!"

This is a nice area to walk around near the Space Needle. There's no much else exciting to say about it I'm afraid!
