I've done a number of Escape Rooms, both in Seattle, and in Oregon, and Locurio's The Storykeeper is the best and most memorable one I've done so far! I kept thinking about it for days afterwards. Great immersive experience! We did the room with another couple of puzzle-lovers and had a great time. In fact, it was only a couple of weeks later that I got a text from them asking "Is it too soon to start thinking about when to go back to Locurio to do their other room?" We were there a week later and brought a 3rd couple with us. The Vanishing Act was also a lot of fun, but I will say I enjoyed Storykeeper a little more. I will be keeping an eye on Locurio to see if the decide to open any more rooms!

Both "The Storykeeper" and "The Vanishing Act" were amazing experiences. The puzzles were all varied, imaginative and satisfyingly challenging, (save for 1 or 2 finicky ones in both rooms). The rooms were also highly immersive and the stories were fun and engaging, particularly after the transitions. And last but not least, the staff also gave amazing performances, were really helpful when they'd give the occasional hint, and were just generally great. Definitely check them out.

My girlfriend is STILL raving about this place, 6 weeks later. I have to agree. This was an incredible room--lovingly crafted, brilliantly devised, challenging in all the best ways. The art direction was far and away the best I have seen in a room. I won't spoil it, but it's definitely worth the experience. It sets a high bar. Go see it!

I've done Vanishing Act and Storyteller now. Both have great production values and characters as part of the experience. We felt very 'accompanied' in our experiences - that were both quite challenging and fun. Done a lot of puzzle rooms now and these rate at the top.

My family loves escape rooms, and by far the experience at Locurio has been the best of all the Seattle-area ones we've tried. We've done two of their puzzles now (The Vanishing Act, with all 8 of us, and The Storykeeper, with 6 of us). Each experience has been EXCELLENT- a great mix of puzzle types, a very interactive experience with a high production value (the room, the props, the actors, etc.), and the perfect level of difficulty for our group. If you like escape rooms, or if you've never tried one before but you're curious (if you like solving puzzles and working cooperatively in an imaginative setting), I HIGHLY recommend Locurio. They have one more puzzle we'll be trying this year...and then I hope they come out with more new ones, because I'm insatiable when it comes to their products.

Six of us did The Storykeeper room this past weekend. It was a wonderful time! This is definitely the most immersive escape room I've ever done (and I've done over a dozen across the country). The production design is amazing. The puzzles were fun and whimsical. It certainly isn't the most challenging room you can find, but we all loved the clever connections to the story. I'd highly recommend this room, whether it's your first, or your hundredth.

I have played games all over the country, and Locurio's Storykeeper was head and shoulders above all of them. The team nailed the story, the puzzles, the sets, and most importantly, the feeling of adventure. If I had more time in Seattle, I would come back and play their original game, The Vanishing Act. I played with my family and everyone had a wonderful time. There's something for everyone to enjoy and a whole world to explore. I can't wait to come back!

This Escape Room had the best storyline of any that I've done - it was immersive, had great cluing and made you feel part of the story. The puzzles were tricky, but not so hard that you couldn't figure them out. My son and I had such a good time, we were talking about it for the rest of the weekend. I'm so glad we did it! As a veteran of many rooms, I put this one in my top 5.
Locurio is located in a cool neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. After we finished the room, we had a nice dinner practically next door.

The team at Locurio was kind enough to let me play both of their attractions - the outdoor hunt (noximilian) and the traditional escape room (Vanishing Act) while in town this week
I have played 100+ rooms and these two attractions were great
If you want to get outside the Cluekeeper based Noximilian is fun around the Fremont area utilizing both traditional puzzles and AR inspired puzzles (same technology as Pokemon Go)
Vanishing Act is a traditional escape room and is engaging with excellent production values. The staff was top notch including both actors/actresses designed to fit with the story and the game control who demonstrated limited involvement unless asked.
The puzzles were hard but not too hard and the design was very thematic and interesting. The twists and turns in this room kept me on my toes.
I highly recommend Vanishing Act - already recognized nationally - it is definitely one of the best in the country that I have seen.

Why would anyone agree to sign a waiver that releases the owners of this venue from injury or even death??
Would you sign such a waiver before boarding a jet or taking an Uber?
No answer is needed here, but rather something to think about.

That is very common in any activity waiver. If you've ever visited a trampoline park or rented bikes, this kind of release would be found. It's up to a court to decide if there is a dispute. The good news is that the risk is low in an escape room.

How strict is the website's age restriction? We are escape room enthusiasts who will be visiting in April. My family has done over 20 escape rooms nationwide. We were excited to see the variety and quality of rooms in Seattle and Locurio was the top of our list. My children are 12 and 15. Would they be permitted to participate?

Hi Valerie,
Thank you so much for your interest in playing The Vanishing Act - we would love to host you and your family! Our age minimum is 14, and all minors (17 and under) must be accompanied in the room by a parent/guardian.
We will occasionally make an exception for someone based on their situation, so I will contact you via private message in order to speak further on this matter!
Thank you again and have a great day.

How many people do you need in your group to do this?
Natalie P
Bellevue, WA
The ideal number is between 6-8, but smaller groups (even only 2 players) have enjoyed the game as well. The more players you have, the more total content you'll be able to see, but fewer players means you will get to personally work on most of the puzzles you encounter, though you may not advance very far in the game.
