I bought two pounds of king salmon to be shipped to nebraska.it arrived on time but was only shipped one pound.after sending out an email to the company they responded right away with a few questions.after speaking to the owner he immediately apologized and refunded my money for the ENTIRE purchase.
I would highly, highly recommend buying any type of seafood from this company as they are very professional and know their business.i was very impressed with this company!

This was one of our to-do places! It did not disappoint, we went during easter weekend and it was booming with people! There are many things to see, from painting to local art and plenty of places to eat! There is something for everyone, even for your pets. I traveled with my four legged furry child and they are pet friendly which was great!
We parked at the space needle and took the monorail to the market (about a 4 block walk from the monorail station) just to take in more of the city. Our walk was very interesting and fun. Over all, this is one of the must do visits…

This place is so cool! We had so much fun here. Not only is it neat to watch them throw around the fish but their seafood is really good. We bought some clams, oysters, scallops and salmon here. The employee at the fish market was so helpful to us. He answered all our questions and helped us pick out our items. We then took everything back to our airbnb and had the best dinner! It was really a lot of fun.

My family and I went down to visit the Pike's Place Fish Market for a visit on the first day it was one of the hottest days in Seattle and unless the stores were underground there wasn't very many that were open, some across the street were open and servicing some customers but most of the open-air fish markets were closed which was kind of a disappointment. Later on that week we went another day which was much more milder and there is a lot more open but they weren't throwing the fish as I remember which was also disappointing anyhow great place to visit and walk through if you have time you can spend about 1 to 2 hours there looking inside different stores. There are quite a few restaurants in and around the area lots to do and see, we went and seen the gum wall that was kind of unique. Good for families to do lots to see down there give it a try if you're in town.

We walked down hill to Pikes Market, to see the world-famous Pike Place Fish Market fish throwing stall. The Pike Place Fish Market, was founded in 1930, is an open-air fish market located at the corner of Pike Street and Pike Place.
It is known for their tradition of fishmongers, throwing fish that customers have purchased, before they are wrapped.
It’s always crowded here, attracting up to 10,000 daily visitors, all trying to take selfies with the airborne fish.
We were informed that they all so package seafood, cooked and uncooked for flight or overnight shipment.
Not being a fish eater, we just took photos and moved on.
TIP: watch out for the monkfish, which sometimes, thanks to a hidden line, is made to "snap" at customers. Ha Ha

Second time visiting this market. Loved watching the guys toss the fish to each other. Got samples of the smoked salmon and bought some to bring back home to Texas. So good. Got the garlic and pepper one. Cannot wait to share with friends.

This is in the Pike Place Market which was very crowded with people. I heard the activity of the famous fish tossing, but couldn't really see it for all the people. Try going at a less busy time for a better experience.

My husband and I traveled to Seattle, WA in early June for a week vacation. Love everything about the Pike Place Fish Market! The fresh flowers were lovely and fragrant. The variety of flowers and the spectacular colors were stunning. Plus the cases filled with all types of fish and squid and crabs were most impressive. We bought some fresh crab and the word "delicious" does not even describe how wonderful this crabmeat was. We went back several times to Pike Place Fish Market while in Seattle. One morning we stopped by the original Starbucks, picked up two bags of fresh Washington cherries, and ate our way through the market there. Loved everything about this special place and highly recommend a stop or two or three to Pike Place Fish Market.

The Pike Fish Market MAKES Pike Place Market. If you haven’t bought fish here you haven’t shopped at the market. The same can be said for buying flowers. Although the fish-boys show is much more entertaining!

It was a must see do to it’s notoriety. It was definitely cool to see the fresh seafood although way too expensive to buy there. Did see them throw the fish. Nothing out of this world, but definitely neat to see. The whole market place was cool. Glad I went.

Whenever a customer purchases fish, they toss the fish throughout the area and to the guy in the back to prep it for sale. It's pretty entertaining.

How is the weather in August in Seattle? What type of fish can we find in the Pike market? Do we get fresh water fish there?

The weather is usually great in August. It can be hot but it is not usually humid. We don't get much rain in August. You can get all kinds of seafood at the market as well as other fresh produce. You can get some fresh water fish but the specialty is seafood like salmon and crab.

IS it located right under the big pike market sign with the clock, or on the other side of the street from there? Google maps is confusing me.

The Market is a block long, two sides of the street affair underneath the Pike Place Market sign. Most of the time, especially the week-end, there are lots of folks but the variety of fruit, flowers, fish and all manner of good things to eat and drink make it worthwhile. Hope you found it!
