We traveled to Seattle for a long weekend and booked with Captain Carl on Fish Finders Charters. He was great with communication and very flexible to accommodate our trip, and find the best day with the best weather and sea conditions. We had a great time and everyone caught. He is super easy to work with and tried a variety of locations to improve our chances. We had a great time and would definitely use this charter again.

Had a great time on the water, Carl took care of everything you would expect from a charter. He frequently checked our lines and was clearly committed to getting us some fish, changing our tackle and depth when there was a lull in bites. Carl has a ton of experience and was happy to share the details on how the tackle works and the behaviors we could expect from the fish. Carl strikes the perfect balance of engaging with his patrons and giving space to chit chat and enjoy the experience. I also had questions leading up to the trip and received answers very promptly, I will be booking another trip next season. Thanks a bunch Carl! The fish was delicious!

Captain Carl was a great guide, very responsive to questions before our trip, and patient and accommodating during the 6:30AM to 12:30PM shared charter. My husband and I and two others were very comfortable in the space provided and Carl made sure we all had equal opportunity to bring in a fish. The bite was a little slow (9/25/21) but the four of us did bring in 5 silvers, better than other charters apparently. Side note - we successfully got our fresh fillets (thanks for the expert cleaning, Carl) back to Florida within 24 hours by packing them in a soft-side cooler with dry ice, just the 5.5# that the airline allows. Bought the dry ice at QFC in the meat department. Had our first meal of Puget Sound fresh salmon Sunday night!

Capt Carl at Fish Finders was amazing. This was my first time fishing and he was great in helping me reel in 2 salmon. My partner, Bernard snagged a large 10lb salmon. We both had a wonderful time and enjoyed the company of 2 others on our boat. I like that the excursion was small and intimate as we all had ample opportunity to catch fish. The best part was being able to take home the salmon filets and roe, which Carl processed for us. Thanks so much. I highly recommend.

Wr had a fantastic day on the water with Captain Carl. He was very patient with my 9 year old son, and extremely knowledgeable of fishing tactics in and around the Kingston area. I don’t think we went more that 2 minutes without a line in the water! Landed 4 legal fish and released a small number more. My dad and son had a great time. We will definitely be reaching out to Carl again for a salmon trip.

X Captain Carl is enthusiastic, hustles to help you catch fish, is extremely knowledgeable about his trade, and clearly loves what he does. We had a shared charter and took turns pulling in fish to be fair. We were catching fish when boats around us were not (although Capt said it was a slow day) and Capt Carl was sharing information with other boats to help them. We reached our limit of silver salmon an hour early and he filleted them and explained to us how to ship our catch home. This trip was a highlight of time in Seattle!!

My wife and 14 year old son joined Captain Justin for the 6 hour tour. It was fantastic! Captain Justin was friendly and knowledgeable. He knew where to go and when to move on to a new spot. We were visiting from Texas, so he was also helpful in sending us to someone who could ship our fish back home to us. We stopped after catching our quota, and were able to ship nearly 11 pounds of salmon back home. Thank you Captain Justin!

Only a 20 minute steam and a few minutes of lines in the water got us multiple rods with fish on. The action was so quick and furious, we caught our limit in under two hours. I'll never complain about that.

I cannot say enough good things about Captain Carl and his charter. His focus is to make sure that everyone on the boat fills up their quota and have fun while doing it. I have booked several charters with him over the past several years and never have I come back empty handed. The charter I booked past weekend had friends who had never fished before and Carl is very patient explaining the fishing techniques etc. and training throughout the charter.
His sense of humor intuition, knowledge and skills are exemplary. Look no further if you want to go salmon fishing in the Puget Sound.

I have fished with Captain Carl many times over the years and can not say enough good things about his service. There are of course no guarantees that you will catch fish, but I can remember many times when we returned with salmon and most of the other guides struck out. He works hard and really cares that his clients catch fish!

what is the youngest age that would be appropriate to bring on one of these trips? I'm keen for my kids to get a sense for fishing and what living by the ocean means.
