The Seattle City Center has something for everyone- Space Needle, Chihully Gardens (Murano glass sculptures) a Science center, a food court (Armory), an awesome playground, and the EMP Museum (music and movies primarily). By the Armory, there are street performers for entertainment under the trees. Definitely buy a City Pass, it is worth it.

Seattle is an interesting city with its own artsy quirky nerdy vibe. This may be attributable to the schools in the city and the tech industries driving the nerd factor. It's one of the few places I have heard people discussing anime and video games in earnest over a coffee while dressed as their favourite characters en route to a... More

City Centre -- a mall located Downtown at Fifth Avenue and Pine -- holds shops, restaurants and the U.S. Bank Centre. It is worth coming here to see the massive Dale Chihuly glass installation on the second floor. Go in the entrance that is right at Fifth and Pine and proceed up the escalator. Walk straight ahead, and the installation... More

Gives a great view of the city on three sides and your pictures can include the needle too. Its $7 cheaper too. Visited on a Sunday, no queue and not at all busy.

Seattle is a beautiful city but it is a Shame they have allowed homeless people to take over the downtown area. The homeless have trashed some areas , such as 3rd Ave and Pine that has fast food containers and cigarette butts everywhere. We went to the Bank if America at 4th and Pine and their were armed guards at... More

Seattle itself is fun to walk around but I left the town with a phobia of finding a bathroom that wasn't locked. Its a pain to ask for the combo to the bathroom everywhere you go and many stores don't have them. It was explained to me the homeless/drug use was the main reason for this.

Independent vendors offer a wide selection of food, and there is ample seating for all. Chain retailers and independents are worth a look, at the very least. Not a massive centre, but clean and right in the retail core. Downtown stop for the Seattle Centre Monorail.

I simply love rambling around the City Center. The music group Quichua Mashis has been playing each time I have visited and they certainly set the atmosphere. Every direction you turn, there is a beautiful view and interesting exhibits.

It depends on what you like to do as to whether or not this will be worth your time. I like stopping by to get some of the pics that I did. I am not really one to enjoy the types of museums offered here so I didn't try any of those. And I didn't want to pay the free... More
