We went for mass, and the place is pretty large. People are very friendly. Organist was excellent and the design of the church is very cool. Fell safe there since a uniformed cop was in the building.

It was built by Bishop O' Dea in 1907 and was designated a City Landmark in 1984. The beautiful stained glass by Charles Connick was installed in 1917-20. The cathedral is huge and covers an entire city block. It's impressive.

The choir for the Sunday Mass was one of the best I have ever heard. If you are Catholic this is a must!

After a day of hiking all over Seattle, it was wonderful to find the Cathedral open to the public. It is an exquisitely beautiful church, built in the Italian Renaissance Revival style and is the Cathedral Church for the Catholic Church in Seattle. Upon entering,...More

This was a really cathedral. There was mass going on when we arrived, but there was plenty of space in the back to see the serivce.

Really loved my visit here. It was an unexpected jewel in city of Seattle. Take time to relax and meditate. Also take the virtual tour on the Cathedral website.
