Reletively cheap! We did the Friday Harbor Ferry and it was great! It took about an hour and was full of great sights. The ferries have chairs and tables. Some tables even had puzzles on them. The top deck is open during the nice seasons.

This was my first time taking a ferry across such a large body of water and we enjoyed it so much we did it 3 times. It is a must do in Seattle.

This is the best way to have a fantastic hotel in Bremerton and ride the ferry to Seattle. Not paying Seattle hotel rates gives you more money to spend in the local shops and in the evening a relaxing ferry ride back to your hotel.

The Washington State Ferry system is great, and a lot of fun while getting to interesting places. The ferries are a very stable platform which really minimizes or prevents motion sickness. Kids seem to get a big kick out of riding. Us big kids do,...More

I know it was off season, which meant it wasn't crowded. It seemed so organized and smooth. We've never been on a ferry and didn't know what to expect. I made reservations online and recieved text reminders the day before. Everyone that we asked questions...More

We drove from Seattle to Bremerton and put the rental car on the ferry back to Seattle. $14.20 for the car and three of us. We had a i hour trip through the channels and across the sound. What a view of the city. Also...More

I love taking the ferry, especially as the scenery is so beautiful. I have found them to be well-managed. I'm not sure if it's the same on all the ferries, but on the one to Bainbridge that I took most recently, you only pay on...More

I took the ferry late afternoon so I could have dinner on the island. I was in love, I also liked that I came back late enough and got a beautiful view of the skyline from the harbour.

Easy on, easy off, very efficient and clean. What a bonus to view plenty of orcas en route. What a great way to go on a whale watching excursion!

Loved being able to use the ferry! Free to pedestrians, but if you have a car or motorcycle, will cost you about $15. We grabbed some lunch to go in Seattle and then ate it on the ferry over to Bremerton. Just enough time to...More

There are no direct sailings from Seattle to Victoria that include a car. In order take your vehicle, you need to sail out of Anacortes on the Washington State Ferries or take the Black Ball Ferry from Port Angeles. From... More

I don't know about the summer. There are several ferries in the system. Crossing over, I had virtually no wait time. However, on the way back, it was not as smooth. The wait time was over an hour, and this was mid May.

Anacortes/San Juan will not disappoint. It's 1.5 hours of serene beauty. It's at least a day trip. One can easily spend a week and not tire of the beauty of the San Juan islands. It's best to make reservations via the WSF... More
