This theater is designed and used for children's entertainment and the quality of the shows is really good. W'e seen Cat in the Hat and Stellaluna there and we were impressed by the quality of the entertainers, the humor and the staging values. It's all kids and their parents and everyone is having a good time there. The kids are... More

I've been to 3 performances at SCT with my to-be-8-in -Feb. grandson, who lives in Seattle. All the performances have been excellent and engaging to him from age 4 on. They present a good variety of shows appealing to all ages. We will go again this year next month for his Feb. birthday!

I have been taking kids to SCT for years, my kids are grown and now I'm taking their kids, currently my 15 and 3 year old granddaughters. The plays are so well done, they keep even the most restless of children engrossed. My 15-year old granddaughter has been going to plays with me since she was 2 and she still... More

Live theatre can be a unique experience for children, especially with so many movies, films & cartoons available. They enjoy the action- set changes, costume changes, live voice & music. This theatre is beautiful, comfortable & lots of fun!

Introduced the theater to my 8 year old nephew by attending "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe ". His eyes never left the stage. Scenery and props had just the right amount of realism while encouraging the imagination to fill in the rest. The acting was as professional as a 5 th Avenue production. Added plus to Children's Theater... More

Marianne, Thank you for your review! We've been doing this for over 40 years and we agree with you, the best part is seeing the kids' faces light up and become mesmerized by the magic of theatre. And yes, we do employ the same professional actors as The 5th Avenue Theatre. In fact, the actor that played Mr. Beaver in... More

My husband and I have been wanting to acquaint our eight-year old grandson to live theater so we took him to "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe". We could not have been more pleased. The theater is beautiful, the acting was very professional, the costumes and staging were amazing, the tickets were very fairly priced, great live music. We... More

We're big fans of children's theater and have fallen in love with SCT. The productions are consistently excellent, accessible by young and old alike, beautifully set and exquisitely timed for different ages. We've just renewed out season's subscription and cannot wait for the next series of plays. What are we going to do when our kids get too old for... More

Such a wonderful experience for my son. His first theater experience and he stayed quiet and even laughed. Honestly it was great to bring him from LA and incorporate this into our trip. Loved it!!!

This is such a wonderful place for children of all ages. Since the birth of four grandchildren I started a ritual of taking the children, once they reached age three, to take them and the children's parent on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The plays are so much fun for the kids, some are interactive where the children interact with the... More
