This review is irrespective of the zoo; I have been to the zoo on a separate occasion and reviewed it separately. That in mind, this park is pretty nice! The sensory garden is particularly interesting, and the large, long trails and bridges are great to stretch your legs on. It's a great park with lots of space, but parking can be weird to try and actually find unless you want to pay for zoo parking.

Lots to see! Acres to traverse. Animals are healthy looking. Enclosures are clean. Zoo staff are friendly. Exhibits are clearly marked. Love the Zoo’s app. Easy to find restrooms. Worth at least a few hours of your time.

Spent a good three hours in the Zoo and saw lots of animals. There were only a couple of the exhibits which were empty however this did not detract from our visit. Lovely and sunny during the day of our visit, which was a bonus and although at the end of the season the Rose Garden still had quite a few flowers on show. Another relaxing place to spend an hour or so taking in the scenery.

Came here with my niece for her graduation picture. It is free to the public and offers a nice backdrop for a photoshoot. It is not as lush as I was expecting but good enough for our purpose. It appears to be popular with photographers as I have seen 3 more groups doing their photoshoot in the garden. It is peaceful and is good for a nice relaxing stroll.

I love this garden! This rose garden rivals (and wins imho) Portland, Oregon own rose garden. It is about two acres of full on color, scents, butterflies and beautifully sculpted hedges and junipers. Lots of paths and a full on sensory garden that boats accessibility for everyone. Must see in June. Near Woodland Park South entrance. Parking on road.

Spent a pleasant 4hours here wandering round the various themed zones which are well signposted and easily accessible for parents with buggies or those with walking difficulties. Buggies, carts etc are available for rent. PRticularly pleased to see the sloth bear with her 2 six month old cubs. The big cats, typically, were snoozing. This venue was busy and is popular with families. The viewing areas are well thought out sand there are seats and picnic areas throughout the site.

This a lovely, large, but not overwhelming garden for rose lovers-some test gardens, some old favorites. You have to pick your time though. Right now its too early- but they are getting ready. The once flowering varieties are in the spring , and I have had the most luck here in June and then maybe the last big flush in September. Its great all on its own even if you aren't going to the zoo .

The Rose Garden is a great small excursion if you are in north Seattle. The park is free and is beautifully maintained. There are a few benches around the property if you would like to sit and relax for a while. There are also some birds who hang out in that area because it is so much quieter than the rest of the city. Last time I was there I saw a spotted towhee.

Photo opportunity in every corner. Peaceful, blooming everywhere, manicured and super stunning! I loved it! The fact its open to public for free is amazing too. We need more gardens like these.
