We've done both this tour and Doc Maynard's Underground Seattle tour and would recommend this one if you are more interested in the history. Our group was fairly small and the tour only takes an hour. It introduces you to the city and some of the engineering decisions that created it and was well worth the price. There are several... This was OK, but we had a much better time and learned a lot more on the Seattle 101 tour done by Seattle Free Walking Tours. This tour is basically a short history lesson given in 3 different basements in the area. That said, the tour guide on this one was very knowledgeable on the local history as it relates... More

This tour is fun and quick so enough history but not too much for the kids. It was interesting to understand the creation of the city and explore Seattle's underground.

Our first stop in our visit to Seattle set the stage for a thorough understanding of the area, people and the city it is today. Our guide, Patti, crammed more information into this one hour tour than I thought possible. We learned the history of the Native Americans who settled here, of the Americans who moved in and the succeeding... More

We were referred to this particular company by the concierge at our hotel (there is more than one of this type of tour) and we were not disappointed. Dave, our guide, was informative (he's been doing this for 16 years), not scripted and funny. You get a totally new perspective on how Seattle was settled and built.

Very interesting tour beneath the streets (as the tour name suggests). Nice to get to know a bit about the history of Seattle and see a different side that you normally wouldn't get to see! Worth the time!

Very interesting to see where Seattle started - the ground floor. Fascinating to learn how they built the street level up. Very knowledgeable tour guide.

We booked this tour at the recommendation of our Savor Seattle tour guide and we were not disappointed. It provided great history of Seattle and specifically the pioneer square neighborhood. Seeing the different, old underground areas was neat and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of Seattle. Also, only 1 hour long so easy to... More

Beneath the Streets provides a historical view of the area and showcases just how far Seattle has come. It is very entertaining and educational at the same time. Dave had lots of good tips about the area. We used our ticket to get discounts at the Smith Tower.

TNT, Thanks for the great review! Dave is a real treasure and we're glad, (but not surprised!), you enjoyed his tour! We've got a soft spot for the Smith Tower as well; we're glad you got to experience that treasure as well. More

Loved the history and the depth of knowledge Dave provided while taking about the sidewalks and areas below the streets. Dave knows his history and loves sharing it with his audience. We loved taking it in. Would highly recommend this tour.
