Two Hour Sound Tour - I was in the area on a solo vacation and decided to jump on this tour. Blaine was a phenomenal guide. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He made sure that everyone was comfortable throughout the entire tour. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone visiting the area or any locals who might be interested in getting out on the water! …

I hosted a company event for about 30 people and Ballard Kayak was a wonderful choice. The equipment is in great shape, the staff are friendly and they even encourage people to come out and play games or kayak with them! Wonderful people, highly recommended.

We met Anna and Jay at the Ballard kayak kiosk! Very impressed they made a point to learn all the names of the people in our tour (15 people, I think). After outfitting each of us with gear they gave us a very informative intro to kayaking! We boarded our Kayaks and navigated our way from the marina to the Puget Sound. Anna and Jay were great guides throughout the trip! But the highlight was locking through the Hiram M Chittenden Locks! We locked through going and coming! It really was a thrill! Anna and Jay made sure we were all safely positioned both times! It was such a fun morning! Highly recommend this tour! …

Review of: Discovery Point Kayak Tour
What a fabulous way to bond with coworkers, enjoy this beautiful city we call home, and experience something new! Blaine and crew took care of all the details so all we needed to do was show up. Not only are they certified for safety, they are super knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the area. We are a group of bird lovers, and were treated to views of many bird and marine mammal species, including a visit to a Purple Martin colony right near the marina. If you're looking for a family, corporate, or other group outing, we highly recommend Ballard Kayak! They will make sure you're safe, having fun, and truly exploring Puget Sound. Thanks for the great day, Blaine!…

Had an excellent experience with Chloe as my guide for the quick 2-hour sound tour. You paddle out of the marina into the sound proper and down to the locks before coming back to the marina. If you’re not an experienced paddler this is just long enough to not be exhausting. We saw herons, seals, purple martins, and ducks. One thing to be aware of is all tours are in tandem kayaks, not a problem but know that solo is not an option for tours.…
