Best seafood market in Seattle
Aug 2021
I've been ordering fresh fish delivered to PHOENIX for a couple years now and have never been disappointed with Pure Food Fish Market. Now we're in Seattle for a month and buying fresh for immediate consumption and loving it even more. Great selection of fish we can't get, such as Halibut Cheeks.

They don't throw the fish here at Pure Food Fish Market, but they're not here for the tourists' amusement. They are here to provide top quality seafood to hungry customers.

Love Pure Food Fish Market -- have never had a bad bite.

This is one of Seattle’s major tourist attractions.
Apr 2019
Visiting Pikes Market, we came across the world-famous Pure Food Fish Market. This family owned fish stall, has been here since 1911 when its founder Jack Amon started selling fresh fish. It’s always crowed here with tourists and locals trying to buy fish. We were informed that they package all seafood, cooked and uncooked, for flight or overnight shipment. Not being a fish eater, we just took photos and moved on.

TIP: Go early to avoid the tourists.

The scallops here rock!
Sep 2019 • Friends
Have learned from insider tips to ask what’s new today/good today and go for what’s fresh. So far have never been disappointed. The first time we had salmon which was fantastic and this last time we had the giant scallops, and we were not disappointed. Having never cooked them before, we were hesitant, but honestly we could have been in a 5 star Resteraunt instead of at our house, they were that great!! We just followed the video on their website on how to prepare them and... 😍.. we also got the corn 🌽, fabulous and a mango and peach which we had for breakfast the next morning.

These guys are great...very helpful!
Oct 2018 • Business
I was told by a colleague, if you want to bring halibut steaks home, go to Pure Food Fish. First, they are very friendly, second they cut the steaks to size and individually wrapped them. Third and the best...they delivered the box to my hotel so I didnt have to carry it around. (Box, packing and delivery only $25.) The halibut was perfect that weekend on the grill. Thanks for superior service!

Honest and Quality.... Can't ask for more
Sep 2018 • Solo
We needed a gift for my father in law that has EVERYTHING (except good smoked salmon in North Dakota).... I remembered how much he enjoys the smoked salmon and oysters I always pick up from here when he comes to town so I head to Pikes to order and have it shipped. Oh but he loves scratchy lotto tickets too so I pick up $50 worth on the way down and blindly ask them to add them to the package. I thought if they aren't honest I lose out on $50. However everything was delivered as promised and my father in law was in heaven! I think this will be a birthday tradition!! Oh and we also picked up some for us, the BEST!!

They tricked me and insulted me.
Oct 2018
There was a sign that said $29/lb sticking out right where the crab legs were. I asked the young man helping me, how much I get for a pound, and he picked out two for me and we also got some scallops for a special dinner. When we got home and my husband said it was $75 I knew something was wrong. So we call them and I was told the price of crab LEGS is $45/lb and Crab CLAWS is $29. There was no sign saying the legs were $45/lb and I tell the young man who said his name is JUNIOR, that I feel I was misled. Then Junior tells me NOBODY there would sell me crab legs for $29. He says, “ YOU MIGHT BE SPECIAL, BUT YOU’RE NOT THAT SPECIAL”. I told him he was being mean but he wouldn’t adjust the price. They swindled me the insulted me.

Fish does not have to be intimidating
Sep 2018 • Couples
This was my fist time ever buying from a fish market. I have to admit I was intimidated, not only was I from out of town, but not use to seeing so many options. The staff was great, they did not make me feel stupid and were happy to answer all of my questions. By the end I felt like a pro and am looking forward to the delivery and of course enjoyment of my fishy delights

This is where we bought our 3 lb. lobster tail!
Jun 2018 • Couples
We picked out a lobster tail here, almost as a joke. But they were very serious about it - they apparently ship them all over the world. I don't know if these lobsters are just very old and that's why their tails alone are 3 pounds, or if they have a local species of monster-sized lobsters. But these tails were huge, and the real deal. We got our tail shipped to us the day after we returned home, and used a recipe from the market's website to cook it, and it turned out great. I then used the bones to make seafood stock, which I have used to make several dishes (cioppino and paella, for starters). So it turned out to be a very worthwhile purchase, not a joke at all!

No gimmicks, just good prices
May 2018 • Couples
We wanted to take some Copper River Salmon with us but carrying fish around for 4 days wasn't going to work. The prices to ship seems high but not as much as the "flying" fish market. We sampled the smoked scallops and ordered a pound. Can't wait for our fish to arrive!
