My husband and I had a wonderful time during our tour and Joe was a ridiculously well-informed and hilarious guide. We had already spent a couple of days in the city prior to the tour but found many hidden gems during it and got advice about other amazing things to do in the city that had not even occurred to us. Joe took care to make sure that all questions were answered and that the historical facts that he was giving us were entertaining as well as educational and made concrete in our minds by the physical evidence he was able to show us. All in all I would be more than happy to recommend this tour to others, it is a fantastic way to spend half a day in the city and made us feel like we had been given a real insight into Seattle and its history.

We did the two-hour walking tour with Sean on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm and it was such a great introduction to the city! It was the perfect blend of: 1) recommendations for tourist activities/sites, 2) historical background, and 3) humor and fun facts. Sean has a great way of engaging with the audience and keeping the group's attention. It was a fair bit of walking, but we got to see all the main sites and helped orient us for the rest of our trip. It is amazing that such an incredible tour is free (we tipped our guide $20). Definitely recommend taking the tour as one of the first things you do upon arriving in Seattle if you are coming from out of state.

I’m 16 years old and this was my first time visiting Seattle with my family. Our tour guide’s name was Amalia and she was absolutely lovely! She is fun, lively and energetic, and super knowledgeable about the city! She made a 2 hour tour feel like just 2 minutes, truly, with all of her engaging stories and anecdotes. Amalia really helped my family and I get to know this city for it’s awesome quirky and playful character. I highly recommend her and this tour company :)

I did both the Market and Seattle 101 tours back to back, timing which I found very convenient. I definitely appreciated having someone give me some orientation into the city and its most popular tourist attraction.

Overall, the guide was great and informative and did a good job with the larger group that formed for the 101 tour. I'd say I found the whole thing mildly helpful, although it was a bit of a slower pace than I was expecting. Still, I learned things I likely wouldn't have on my own and went back to look around more after the tour.

I appreciate the free cost (plus tip) of the tours, and enjoyed my morning with you guys.

As a tour guide myself I was enthralled by Bob's tour. It helps that he's local to the area and also did a lot of travels in his lifetime. We covered a lot of ground in 2 hours and he designed it in such a way that it was all downhill (from Pike Place to Pioneer Sq). Range of topics included the story of Starbucks, legend of the Giant Pacific Octopus, concept of Happy Hour in Seattle, myth of the Hammering Man, Great Seattle Fire, Underground City, legacy of Chief Si'ahl, Seattle tunnel project and the Space Needle. During my time in Seattle also did the Beneath the Streets Underground tour, Smith Tower Observatory and Museum of History and Industry. What I learned from Bob's tour really set the stage for these.

Guide was new and we think nervous because she would say something and then laugh. The laugh was irritating and too frequent. One hour tour, not that much info. Didn’t need to spend so much time at the wall filled w chewing gum. Yuk! A minute or 2 would have sufficed.

Joe who was our guide really knew his stuff.

Yes the walk is two hours but it didn’t actually feel that long and the bulk of it was downhill.

The tour covers some of Seattle’s history and loads of interesting facts along the way.

It would cater to anyone wanting to know a little more about the city and we’re glad we picked it.

10/10 would recommend.

What a great experience! This “Seattle 101” tour was the highlight of the trip for me. Our guide, Joe, was knowledgeable, courteous and extremely funny! I was amazed by all the facts he told us - made us feel real connection with the city. He had genuine answers to our questions and was very organized.

I’d say that this tour is essential for anyone visiting Seattle for the first time. Highly recommended.

And yes, you can pay what whatever you’d like for the tour. We ended up paying way more than expected… it was well deserved!

- On Mon. Sept. 10, 2021 11:00 The tour Guide came to my hotel to collect quickly the members who will join to the (SEA FREE walking Tour 101) then we went together towards the (Meeting Point) at Water Front beside “Pike Popular Market” … Duration 90 min. at every day except Tue. & Wed. ... Also, there is another Free Walking Tour for (Pike Popular Market) in the same days at 09:30.
- Limited Route mainly around 1st. Ave. due a little Attractions in SEA … It’s not v. important & The man Guide was good but speak v. quickly, as tradition, neglecting the foreigners.

Greetings, Hussam, Thank you for this review. We strive to deliver the best tour in town, and It is wonderful to get feedback when we have fallen short. We will make sure our guides take your experience into consideration for future tours. Our tour is focused mainly on things-to-do, and the stories that represent how Seattle came to be where it is today. We will focus on clearly communicating those stories in the future! Happy travels!

It’s a perfect experience. We signed up for 2 tours, filled with jokes and stories about Emerald city. Market experience is offering not only tour but also testing food samples, that’s like the best for this unique market for the USA. Second tour is 101, which gives an overview of the old part of the city, and insights on the big fire in Seattle’s history, but will not bring you to the first floor of the city. If you want this experience this is totally different tour, called Underground, for a fee.
