I took my granddaughter to PNB's Le Corsaire which is a pirate story for kids. Everything about it was great. There were activities in the lobby including musicians that allowed children to try the instruments and now she wants to learn the harp. The dancing was outstanding as were the costumes. We sat in a box which made for great... More

Extremely enjoyed watching Coppelia. Amazing dancers and very enjoyable show. From the dancing to the costumes and choreography, all were excellent. Highly recommend seeing PNB.

We've been to several performances at PNB and enjoyed each one. One performance in fact, will stick with me for the rest of my life - a stunning work by a new student choreographer done to the music of Olafur Arnalds (Film Credits and Fyrsta). Wow! The dancers and company are dedicated and wonderful. The school was a great place... More

I was invited to the Matinee Ballet Performance March 27th. We listened to the Q & A session prior to the Ballet selections, which really helped! The 3 Ballet performances were spectacular! They were innovative, highly athletic, & dramatic! We also went to the Q & A session after the performances. We enjoyed hearing from the 2 Ballerinas, about their... More

This is a bit of a story: It all started when I was in my thirties and I went to the ballet to impress a young lady whom I wanted to date. She was way out of my league and, in all honesty, I was trying to hard...However - My first Ballet changed my view of what ballet was. The... More

We just went for a performance of Romeo et Juliette. As usual, parking and good dining in the area were easy to find. Also as usual, the hall itself is a lovely, modern space, with fun ballet related shopping, food and drink locations, readily accessible bathrooms, and modern decor. This can get a bit odd at times -- approaching the... More

I will not be returning because of the poor Nutcracker performance I saw earlier this month. I was a fan of the previous version and was supportive of new sets and costumes, both of which delivered exceptionally. The Balanchine choreography only sits minutely above community theater as a good Nutcracker. The choreography is dumbed down and children are featured more... More

My mother and I have been going since I was little and I always enjoyed the performance, no matter how many times I had seen it. The peacock scene was one of my favorites, so I was sad to see that replaced with an almost-Arabian-almost-peacock dance. But the worst part was how slow everything went, there was hardly any dancing... More

I am sad to see the changes made to the Nutcracker. I've attended the Nutcracker performance for well over 20 years, always enjoying the beautiful dancers. Unfortunately the new version of the Nutcracker looks more like a children's performance to me. There were many more children dancers than adults and far less dancing in general. Sadly, I will not return... More

We are longtime PNB season subscribers, and saw the Stowell-Sendak production numerous times. This new version was very disappointing. The new sets and costumes were pretty, but not that special. The choreography was quite boring. Lots of children running around the stage, but little actual dance. The night we attended, the usually outstanding adult soloists were mediocre. (Laura Tisserand was... More
