Awful experience.
The representative was nice and gave us a Military Discount and an extra discount as we paid for the three rooms (Missile Bunker, Zodiak Killer and Prison Break) , but that was it. We still paid over $500 for a group of six people.
We didn’t want to do the missile bunker but she made it difficult to us as the other rooms were not ready, so we accepted to start with that room. She explained some of the “rules” and we went right into the room.
5-10 minutes into the bunker, the employee noted that something was not right, she called it a “glitch.” We were asked to close our eyes until she came back and fix the issue. Then she left and we were able to continue. However, she left a door open and one of my friends went in and then she asked to go back and close the door, because she was supposed to lock it but didn’t.
After that, the whole thing went down hill. We were told during the briefing that if we wanted hints, we had to press “the white button.” Well, we never pressed the white button and the woman would not stop giving hints. Maybe she wanted to rush us to gain time as we lost time with the alleged glitch? who knows as she said we still had an hour.
Something that was supposed to be fun, our family treat during the “plan-demic,” and something we planned for over a month, turn into an extremely stressful experience.
This woman would not shut up and treated us like we were dumb because we were taking our time figuring things out. We never asked for clues and instead of being positive and say, “focus, remember you use things just one. She turned it into a no, that’s not it, that’s wrong, you are all over the place, you can’t start using clues without doing this or that, she was just Obnoxious.
We didn’t pay so much money for you to tell us what to do, if we died (as didn't escape) so be it, we would have done better maybe in the next room or maybe worst, who cares!!!! this is about having a good time!!
The thing that did it for us was, one of my friends took a tape off one of the object we found and she said, “did you just took that tape off?” in a nasty tone, like a mother scolding a child. I could not believe her, like a tape, really? like $500+ and you worry about tape? Then charge us extra for the tape! At that point I was beyond upset, and everyone else was done with the whole thing. We asked to leave and got a refund.
I think this is a fun thing to do, but this didn’t work out for us. Maybe she was stressed or burnt out, but customers should never paid the price for an employee lack of self-care , specially when they are paying their hard working money. Also, we were nice and polite to this woman and she came at us with her attitude from nowhere. Really chocking!

My husband I went and this was our first experience of an escape room and we were blown away. It is so meticulously designed and calibrated that we enjoyed every moment of it. Can’t wait to go back to the other escape rooms.

This is my favorite escape room place I've ever done (and we've done lots)! We did all 3 of the rooms because we loved the facility so much. They're super creative, authentic, challenging, and immersive. The staff was lovely and supportive when we needed it without giving too much away. We really felt like we were in the storyline - would definitely recommend!!

Been too many escape rooms in WA and for sure this one must be on the top 3 of all WA, they put so much effort in the decorations and create so many intresting puzzles other than just putting a cokbination lock and call it a day. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You won't regret coming to this escape room.

I came here with 9 other people, and Fox in a Box was super helpful in accommodating our larger group by shifting the start times and being flexible with the reservation.
This was the first or second time doing an escape room for most of us, and we had a great time. Thanks!

I cannot explain how much I loved my time in the Prison Escape room. I loved the escape scenes in Shawshank Redemption, and a few moments in the room are inspired by parts of those scenes. The authenticity is so on point in the room you won't help but get caught up in the whole theme. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

My friend and I did Prison Break and Zodiac. We had never done an escape room before and the manager (Willow) was an excellent guide! We received a lot of help but were still able to feel like we had done a good amount of the work ourselves and finished one of the room with merely seconds left on the clock. Zodiac was spooky but exhilarating and Prison Break was probably our favorite room due to the changes of scenery and the hands-on nature of the puzzles. We had so much fun on both! Would highly recommend—we had never done other escape rooms before but when describing this experience to those who had we learned that the rooms at Fox in a Box are unusually detailed and immersive. 10/10

I've done many escape rooms and I love Fox in a Box and their room's creativity with environment & puzzles. My family did the Missile Room and had so much fun. This room is linear and overall great if you have people in your group that are newer to escape rooms (which we did). We had a great experience and are happy they have decided to come to the Seattle Area. :)

My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. It was a creative date night that was equally challenging for both of us. The space was clean, the staff clearly loved their jobs and were super helpful. Although we didn't escape, we both left the experience really happy.
And during these Covid crazy times...it is a great socially distanced activity. We were a party of 2, but the staff said they can host a private party of up to 5.

My sister and I brought our three teenage daughters to the Prison Break room. We were impressed with the COVID precautions listed on the web and were not disappointed when we arrived. We felt very safe with the procedures in place. Because of that, it was easy to get immersed in the experience, which was really fun, challenging, exciting, and interesting. Our guide was so helpful in just the right ways.
