I won’t make this too long; however – I would like to give credit where it is absolutely deserved. I chose “Blade & Timer” for a date, something out of the ordinary, something fun. It did not disappoint; the staff was welcoming - the Instructor was extremely helpful and encouraging. The environment was inviting and energetic. From what I saw, It was a clean, well-maintained establishment, the equipment included.

*The small downside is that contrary to the website, the Seattle location DOES NOT serve alcohol as of yet. As I was told, they are still under a pending application for their license. It’s a minute inconvenience, seeing that there were local pubs on both sides of the street, just walking distance from “Blade & Timer.” Considering the great time we both had, I would say it’s more than a reasonable trade-off.

I recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to come for a fun time and experience something out of the norm of day to day life.

Just a great way to try something new with friends and get out of the house! They show you how to throw the axes correctly, and you pick it up pretty fast. Make sure to follow through, just like tennis and golf! It's too bad they don't have food and drinks available, but maybe once C19 settles down they will. The staff was very helpful, didn't "hover" but stopped in for extra tips and lessons.

What can I say? This palce absolutely exceeded all expectations. While I knew I would attempt to throw an axe, the care in providing pointers from Desmond Webb (ask for him) was priceless. Bring your own dinner, and enjoy the fun. This place is PERFECT for a team building activity, or to blow off a little steam after work. If you are thinking about it... DO IT! You will not regret it!

Initially I felt a bit intimidated to heave this heavy sharp object who knows where. But I was quickly put at ease by our team’s intro and safety training. Dez was so friendly and offered spot-on individualized training and I quickly felt empowered and like a badass. So fun. I would definitely go back!

Staff was friendly and helpful. I was waiting for the rest of my group to show up and 3 employees asked if I needed anything. Our instructor was fun and took time to help everyone in the entire group, but also left to ensure we had enough time since you're only given 1.5 hours. I would definitely go back!

If you've never tried axe throwing, this is a great place to start. They cater to beginners and experienced alike.

The facility is awesome -- very clean, many lanes, and you can even drink beer and cider while you throw (two drink maximum)! The bar stocks several local beers and ciders, so there's something for everyone in your group. You get a table and a private lane and the staff are very willing to help you get started, or come give you tips if you're having trouble. My date was having trouble getting the axe to stick in the board; after a few tips she got a bullseye!

Although we were there as a couple, they cater to larger groups as well, including a group of 40 that was there when we were.

Parking is a but of a hassle (this is Capital Hill, after all) but I was able to find street parking 1/2 a block away.

Highly recommended.

I've gone with my teenage kids and friends and there is just something wondrously medieval about hucking an axe and sticking it with a solid thud. Try it, it's not that hard. Release that inner Viking and with that first solid thud you'll know there's a little badass Bjorn Ironside in your blood.

Loved that Van, the owner was at the check-in to greet us and explain the set-up. Our safety trainer, Alisha was excellent in explaining what to do and continually checked in of we needed anything. Super fun date night plus other clients were cool to talk with who we shared a 'cage' with. Awesome experience I highly recommend.

Great place to go as a group for a fun activity. We loved the vibe of the place fab music and attentive staff giving instructions and serving drinks when needed. Once instructions on throwing an axe had been given they stepped back so you could enjoy your time.
Just one thing the restrooms were disgusting and needed a deep clean especially during Covid times even the door going in to the ladies was covered in grime and toilet pans...yuk!!

We decided to get out of the house and spend time with friends for my wife’s birthday and we had a blast! The staff is very helpful and everyone had a great time. Masks were in use and we watched them clean the table and axes. We will be back again!
