Tours Northwest’s Olympic National Park 2-day Tour was the perfect way to see the diversity of this awesome park! The overnight stay at a delightful motel in Forks, WA made it possible for the schedule to include everything we wanted to see with the absolute minimum of down-time waiting around with the summer crowds. The small group format and our expert guide, Mark Dahl, provided the flexibility to time our excursions to take advantage of tides and park ranger crowd reports to make the most of our visit. In addition to the magic of the Hoh Rain Forest we visited Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, Madison Creek Falls, and two Pacific coastline beaches – Ruby Beach and Rialto Beach. We chose as a group to skip Hurricane Ridge because the wait time is several hours since the Lodge burned down, and the sights are not so different from other mountain areas that we all had visited before (such as Mt. Rainier). Overall, the tour was the right blend of ease and difficulty for this relatively fit 76 year old, with Mark providing just the right balance of encouragement and assistance whether on a challenging trail or slippery costal rocks.

I waited a few days to write this review, to see if the high spirits in which I found myself in the immediate aftermath of visiting Mt. Rainier with Tours Northwest would subside – but nope, I’m still very much the same several days on, and think they will sit with me for a long time.

I was visiting Seattle for just a few days but wanted to do something ‘scenic’ while in town, and a friend suggested Mt. Rainier. Not knowing the area, I preferred to put myself in the hands of those who do, and who knew how to put on a day of activity that lets you see Mt. Rainier and the beautiful area around it, and we got plenty of time to do it all on the day I went (which was a Sunday). It was really quite something to explore this corner of the United States.

Lucinda, our guide, was fantastic. Her in-depth knowledge of the mountain and surrounding region was exceptional, and I can’t imagine the tour being anywhere near as good without her expert insights, friendly and helpful manner, and ability to engage so well with a group of nearly two dozen adults for an entire day! She was a huge part of making it an amazing experience, and I can’t thank her enough.

In terms of logistics and organisation, everything was clear and straightforward, which is how I like it. My meeting point was a few blocks from my hotel, and everything ran smoothly on the day. I also booked the wrong day at first – so I appreciate the speedy help I received in correcting this!

Thanks again to Lucinda and the team.

Our tour guide, Amy, did an amazing job of taking us to all of the top sites all over various parts of Seattle. Her continuous narration was packed full of details about Seattle, both past and present. She made it both informative and very fun. She checks before hand to ensure we go see everything you are interested in seeing. She did a masterful job of navigating the traffic, construction and road closures to ensure we still saw everything in a timely fashion. I highly recommend doing this tour with her.

We planned to do our normal hop on/hop off tour, but they stopped running a week before we arrived. We found this last minute tour once we were here and what a great find! Steve was an exceptional guide and did a phenomenal job recommending places to eat, things to do, and where to go – all based on our questions. Everything about this experience, and 3 hour tour was wonderful. That said - be warned! These people out here function just fine without air-conditioning. I am a giant southerner and we need a/c until the temps get well below 65… No sweet tea and no air-conditioning, but otherwise, this was such an awesome way to see the city. I highly recommend you give them a shot.

Our guide Mark was a gem! Informative, considerate, attentive and funny - our full bus was full and everyone was motivated in having an excellent experience. The National Park was gorgeous and the Mountain was majestic. We hiked the Sunrose trail and it was challenging-
Overall I'd recommend Tours Northwest and if possible ask for Mark !

Amalia, most excellent knowledgeable cheerful guide and amazing driver. I learned so much about Pike’s Market from her versus the time I spent the day before in that area. She also made the most of the beautiful weather to make sure we saw the best scenery.

We booked this tour as a last minute way to take in the city before we leave on a cruise. Erika was our tour guide. She was energetic, informative and personable. I highly recommend this tour as we were able to take in all of the highlights of Seattle in 3 hours while comfortably riding in a clean, plush tour van.
