Bike route

Best connector and commuter route ever! Good to get off the roads and onto this multi use trail. EVen has signage to get to other places.

I have walked segments of this trail through Seattle and really despise the arrogance of cyclists. No one calls out to tell you they are coming up behind you. I walk with my dog and have to be on the lookout constantly. Many cyclists use high speed on this trail.

The Burke-Gilman Trail is excellent for cycling, running, or walking. Great way to get around Seattle as opposed to the roads. Safe, clean, and well kept. We really enjoyed using it to get around to various parks in the Seattle area, on our own steam.

Love the BGT - perfect for biking and walking. Its well-maintained and can have high foot and bike traffic during good weather. Great way to get some exercise within the city limits.

Nice to have this great trail to get around on bike. Great to be able to ride past a wide variety of scenery and be close to urban sites.

The Burke-Gilman Trail offers many options, all of them fun! Depending on where you access the trail there are many things to see and do along the way. Part of the trail winds along Lake Washington with its beauty and beaches, fabulous houses and interesting activities. The trail also runs along the University of Washington if you'd care to make... seattle bike friendly, this is the friendliest....winds through greater seattle and the eastside, all types of bikes and folks, don't let the fancy bikers intimate you, all that spandex and gortex is not needed to ride the burke....

I use this trail to get to the University District or anywhere around Seattle from my home by bike. It wraps around the southwestern portion of Lake Washington and if you are riding on a nice clear day the views are gorgeous. It also hits a lot of the interesting sights of Seattle: University district, UW, Gasworks park, Fremont, Ballard... More

My buddies and I packed our packs, put on our blades and rollerbladed from Woodinville to Gasworks Park in Seattle. Great workout! We stopped at a few parks along the way and went swimming in Lake Washington. So thankful we have the Burke-Gilman Trail! Been riding it for years!

The idea behind a walking trail that parallels the waterfront is commendable. Until Seattle opens up the view by moving/redesigning the warehouses, boatyards and parking lots that obstruct or cheapen the view, though, this will remain an uninspiring walk.
