I was pleasantly surprised with the warmth of Lake Washington waters, and clarity of water. Very enjoyable for fresh water swimming or just floating and admiring the scenery. There are small coves with sandy sections; the hardest part is walking through the first pebbly part.

Wonderful lake for renting a boat and spending the day exploring. Connected to Lake Union so you can visit there too. Highly recommend!

Lake Washington is one of the dominate things that make Seattle the city that it is. It's about 22 miles long. There are so many places/parks that you can visit to enjoy the lake. It's getting a bit cooler in Seattle but there's still time to go swimming, or boating on the lake. Don't miss it if you visiting the city.

It was a partial family visit to the Seattle area as a granddaughter was there for a soccer tournament. As we saw UW and Lake Washington a number of times going to and from the soccer complex, we decided to stop for a visit on our last day. Two mothers and two children decided to rent a rowboat for a way to explore the lake. Other options were available, but this choice seemed the best for the them. While they did the rowing, I explored the area between the rental area and the UW boathouse. Great day for picture taking.

Lake Washington is one of the most dominate things about Seattle. It truly is something that helps define the city. It is very long (north-south). There are many beautiful parks as well as drives along both sides of the lake. If you're visiting Seattle Lake Washington needs to be on the top of your list.

Local sewer used to drain into this lake. Often simmers at local beaches would see paper and other debris associated with untreated waste water disposal. Glad that most of that has changed over time.

Lake Washington is beautiful and very long. Seattle is bordered on two sides by water. Puget Sound on the west, and Lake Washington on the east side. There are so many amazing parks along Lake Washington it's hard to visit them all. If you're visiting Seattle you must find a way to get yourself down to the shores of the lake, if you do nothing else at least take a walk along the lake in Leschi.

It's @ 151 Lake Washington Blvd E in Viretta Park. April 5th is Kurt Cobain's ( Nirvana) anniversary of his tragic passing as I'm sure you know.
