Superb museum, stuffed with facts and artifacts from the Pacific Northwest’s extraordinary past. The WWI exhibition was almost too good. We ran out of time to explore the rest of the museum. Most enjoyable!
Although we were planning to visit this museum anyway this year, having missed it last year, we were especially eager to see the WWI exhibit. It was incredibly well done and I was in there for about 2 1/2 hours. There were movies, interactive exhibits,...More
Eclectic combination of Seattle promotion and Seattle history with special emphasis on some of what people have accomplished while living in Seattle. Sounds quirky but in the end it has a satisfying feel and appreciated coming here. Small cafe with nice water views, indoor and...More
So glad we’d checked reviews prior to this trip, so we planned to visit MOHAI. What a great introduction to the area and city!! There was so much information, and it was presented in very creative, interactive and stimulating ways. And, the setting right on...More
We had lived in the Seattle for quite a while before we visited MOHAI. It didn't seem as interesting as some of the other museums (Pacific Science Center, Museum of Flight) in town, but I have to say that we were wrong. MOHAI is a...More
This museum is worth a visit. Great timeline of Seattle's history. Lots to see and learn. Need about half a day to see/read all of the exhibits. Right on the water so you can watch the sea planes take off or get some nice photos...More
This museum does not have much to shout about. The building is great and the one 30 min video of the Seattle fire are good but much else was lacking. The periscope on the 4th floor was useless the other exhibits were ok for an...More

There are multiple, easy parking options around the museum. You can park at the ACG lot (west of the museum) for $5 with validation, which can be obtained at MOHAI's admission desk. There are also multiple city lots (on Valley St. between Westlake Ave. and Boren Ave.) around the museum that have various rates for parking on the weekend that are substantially less than weekdays (usually around $5 for 10 hours). The museum itself also has ADA parking available directly next to the building.
It is difficult to say how busy the parking will be on a Sunday. That said, our visitors generally do not have problems because of the multiple options available.
You can view more information about parking at MOHAI on our website.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions! We're looking forward to welcoming you to the museum.
