I've visited this museum twice but I think it's pricey. $20 seems high to me, especially since the second time I only had an hour and just came for the toys exhibit and was sorely disappointed that they had very few toys from my childhood on display. That said, the exhibits are very well done and interesting. Each artifact has... More

Sharing the history of Seattle from settlement through modern day, it is very well done. It is also reasonably priced. There is a nice balance between videos, reading, and hands on.

We attended a private party inside of this place. It was great walking around and viewing all of the displays. It is located right on the waterfront. So nice to walk around the grounds outside as well.

This is a very well done museum. The history of Seattle is presented in a clear and interesting manner. There was a great gallery on the history of Toys where we enjoyed seeing all of our childhood playthings and more. This was a temporary exhibit but if it is still on, it is well worth seeing. The setting of the... More

Unbelievably well done museum. Super interactive and easily navigable. You can find the best way for yourself to go through this museum. You can do a bunch of reading or not, play the games or not, or just look at the pictures and artifacts and still get a decent part of the Seattle story. We loved that they covered so... More

The museum gives a comprehensive history of Seattle and its role as a centre of innovation. The first Thursday of every month gives free admission, so save some money by going then.

The Museum of History and Industry is a really cool place to visit in Seattle. It is located right on Union Lake and is surrounded by a beautiful park. Seattle is the center of great innovation, well documented native history, and western expansion history. The displays are whimsical, fascinating, interactive and informative. Definitely skip the EMP and visit this very... More

We enjoyed the exhibits somewhat, especially the more recent, nostalgia-inducing exhibits. But we found it a bit Seattle-boosting in tone, and that was a bit cloying after a while. This reached its apogee in the Bezos Innovation exhibit. And the floor area of the exhibits was smaller than is suggested by the size of the building. The centre of the... More

Great place to see the history of Seattle with a great movie of the fire of Seattle. I was spellbound! The exhibit that was there when we were there was Toys of the 50s, 60s, and 70s which I loved, loved, loved. And my grandchildren loved as well. We went on a free Thursday! so, check out when there is... More
