Our visit to the zoo was quite fun, and we enjoyed ourselves. I suggest coming earlier in the morning, though, as a lot of the animals seem to take an afternoon nap. :P

My spouse and I were impressed with the amount of natural habitat for the animals. We loved feeding the Penguins. It is a lot if walking but very worth it. For those who are city travelers, it is right off the bus line! Great experience.

Maybe I'm spoiled with 2 zoos in Chicago that are bigger than this but my wife and I both thought this zoo was on the smaller side. Lots of the exhibits didn't have any of the animals even in sight. Not a bad place, just...More

We love going to zoos. We saw this zoo in 2006 and liked it reasonably well. Unfortunately when we visited it a few days ago for the first time since then, we were extremely disappointed. It has been totally changed into a mishmash of confusing...More

City bus #5 stops right in front of the west gate parking lot of the zoo (catch it downtown by the light rail near Westlake Center). It's a very short walk to the entrance. We enjoyed the raptor center with the trees in the background;...More
