The zoo has been around for several years but is well-maintained. You'll be walking through wooded areas - like the name says. However, it makes it more attractive. If you like animals, you'll like this zoo.

I spent the day at the zoo with my nephew, who is Special Needs, and we had a great time. I found this zoo very accessible, with a good mix of animals and very nice walking paths. There were quite a few areas that were under construction, so I would like to return when that's finished. It was a warm... More

Parking isn't expensive but we found street parking near the flamingo lot. Great zoo with lots of foliage so it was nice and cool on this strangely warm Seattle day. We spent 2 1/2 hours here and didn't see everything. Got in with City Pass.

We decided last minute for the Zoo during our 3 day stay in downtown Seattle. I am glad we went, completely shaded from the 90's degree during Aug. 19-21 hot weekend. Perfect for kids and adults all paths give shade for kids. We were looking for the baby gorilla, which was sleeping and not visible, but the nice girl in... More

My family and I enjoyed a trip to the zoo, on our recent stay in Seattle. The zoo is setup nicely, the walking paths are wide and the movement around the park is very easy to get from one exhibit to the next. There is a wide variety of animals to observe and enjoy,I would highly recommend that you go on a cooler... Close contact with the giraffe isn't free otherwise they are too distant. The living place for komodo dragon appeared to be too small. The hippo was missing. The animals didn't seem to be living happily. The entrance fee is too dear.

Loved the walkways that made you feel like you were in the woods. The white wolves were amazing. Cute zoo for kids especially.

I have 3 children ages 11, 16, 17 and they all enjoyed this zoo very much. We spent about 3 hours and was able to see Tigers, Giraffes, Hippos, Kangaroo, elks, bear all kinds of birds , insects, petting zoo, and etc. It's a small zoo and very walk able for family with young children or elderly senior citizen. We... More
