Great zoo

This was nice zoo for all ages. The animals are healthy and have good habitats. They are active and mostly visible. Even the busy weekend day did not feel too crowded.

We arrived when the zoo opened. We started at the African Savannah - no animals out. We continued on to the Thai Village loop with the Warty Pigs - no animals. We kept going through Tropical Asia - no tapirs, monkeys, or other animals in this entire area except for two Orangutans (wonderful up close viewing). Other animals that were... More

Having lived near the St. Louis zoo, I am used to a free zoo, but understand some charge. That said, 20 bucks to get into a zoo is a bit steep, especially after paying to park as well. The zoo itself is great; clean, many different animals, and nice location within seattle, but the price is high. If you live... More

We spent some time here with extended family during our visit to Seattle. What a great zoo! We loved seeing animals in very open natural habitats, especially when they mixed animals together, like zebra, giraffe and antelope. And if you are visiting with kids and they love to climb, there are many places for them to do so. They have... More

Beautifully kept Zoo just outside of Seattle! Grounds were immaculate, lots of shade & lots of animals to see! This Zoo did not disappoint! Highly recommend!

WildLights, ZooTunes, and just a day visit to the zoo are all wonderful. It has a "country" feel even though you're in Seattle. My children and I go often and have for several years. There is a great rose garden across the parking lot also. Free parking at Woodland Park if you want to walk up to the zoo and... More

The zoo had some great and not so great attractions. There were several empty exhibits as well. The penguins were our favorite especially for our one year old whom loved looking at them. The wolves were pretty to cool to see as well. The staff was very knowledgable and offered lots of info about all the animals. I loved this... More

1-10, I give it an 8. Laid out nice. $6 for parking, but then again you have to pay to park just about anywhere in Seattle. Good exhibits, not all were out of course. If you have to choose between the Aquarium and the Zoo, go with the Zoo.

I got to attend a Zoo Tunes concert with the VIP treatment, having won a contest from one of the concert series sponsors. Let me tell you, VIP is the way to go. We received special parking (skipping the lines), special entrance (skipping the lines), seating in a special section and food and drink vouchers. The event staff were all... More

What's sets this zoo apart from others is the setting - beautiful peaceful wooded grounds. If we lived there, we would take our kids a couple of times a month.
