I have 3 children ages 11, 16, 17 and they all enjoyed this zoo very much. We spent about 3 hours and was able to see Tigers, Giraffes, Hippos, Kangaroo, elks, bear all kinds of birds , insects, petting zoo, and etc. It's a small zoo and very walk able for family with young children or elderly senior citizen. We... More

We spent the day here with 4 kids ranging in age from 10-15 and they all loved it. We could see all the animals because of the beautiful enclosures and the way the park is laid out. We got to view the grizzly bears close up which was a high light of our day! The penguin exhibit is pretty awesome... More

We visited the zoo as the pricing seemed extremely reasonable compared to the zoo we have back home (San Diego) and its high pricing. We were incredibly pleased with our day visit at the Woodland Park Zoo. We literally got to see every animal that we had wanted to see (except for elephants). The food within the zoo was a... More

Woodland Park Zoo is one of the top rated zoos in the U.S. It has over 90 acres of animal exhibits displayed in very natural habitats. Very green and lush. Lots of food vendors and educational activities for kids and adults on a daily basis. During the summer months the zoo hosts outdoor concerts with local wellknown artists.

We were surprised how small the zoo was for the size of Seattle. We were able to walk through all of the exhibits in a couple of hours. The zoo was clean and well maintained.

The last few hours in Seattle before heading back to NY and contemplating on whether to go to the Seattle zoo or The flight Museum. This is my 1st time in Seattle and decided to check trip advisor. Both places got good reviews and since I have two young children figured they would probably have more fun visiting the zoo.... More

Just a short drive from the city, this zoo is in the Seattle Pass booklet but worth the entrance fee too. Get there early and avoid the holidays if at all possible. But it is a large area set among the woods with many trees and it is possible to avoid the crowds. Get a map of the zoo and... More

The zoo is located fairly close to downtown, about 20-30 minutes away. It is set in a pleasant neighborhood. It is a typical zoo with a wide array of wildlife. If you have extra time, it is well worht the side trip.

Trip from downtown -by bus- in about 40 minutes, for $2.5 round trip. Zoo ticket expensive, we went on a sunny August noon and many animals were sleeping or nowhere to be seen.
