It was Mother's Day and my request to go to the zoo. Weather report looked bad with lots of rain expected. We figured that would keep the crowds down. It actually didn't rain in the morning when we were there and ALL the animals were...More

I have been wanting to see Yola the baby gorilla since the day she was born and I finally got to see her! Seeing her and her mother was worth the trip, but there were a lot of other things I enjoyed also. Ther grounds...More

Always great to visit the zoo when you want to have closer encounters with fauna. I do miss the elephants but seeing the lions, giraffes and other animals are just as fun for us and with the kids. Always wear comfy shoes since there's a...More

You will be surprised to see how large this zoo is! From the entrance, it doesn't appear large. It was wonderful to view the animals in their natural habitat. We especially loved watching the mother giraffe with her baby. A great place for all ages.

the Woodland Park Zoo is a fun place to spend the day for couples or families with children. Small children will really love the petting zoo.

Don't go too early in the year. We weren't able to see many animals cause of the cold weather. Later in the year will be crowded, but you will be able to see the animals you want. The zoo is great, but not excellent.

I must say the aviaries were my favorite exhibits at this zoo, particularly the savannah aviary...those weaver birds were fascinating and the colors of all the birds were amazing! Thanks for such a lovely day!

After visiting Seattle we decided to spend the afternoon in the zoo. It was a great decision, because the zoo is great, nice and a lots of animals to see.

Having seen San Diego Zoo in past, this zoo is small but yet offers a good variety to see and hang out in Seattle Area.

Yes, I think it's ok. They do not allow alcohol, BBQs, or smoking, but I think you will be ok taking drinks and snacks for the kids. I agree with the other post - just do it and see how it goes. They are very family... More
I am interested in the tour to meet the Giraffes. I understand that it is in groups of no more then 5 people. Are these private group tours or do they just take 5 people at a time? I also read that it is $650 per tour. I am coming by myself, so would I have to pay $650?

That sounds extremely high, but here's a phone number for them. Or you can just go to their website and I'm sure the information is there. 206.548.2500

I would suggest to use Hippo parking lot. It is having good parking space and also, covering the zoo from this parking lot was lot easier for me, personally. 750 N. 50th Street Seattle, WA 98103. South Parking Lot. Hippo... More
