With shops on the other side of the street and a long beach walk, this place is great for the exercise mindful person. You can walk, run, bike, skate for hours. Stop at several coffee shops, Bring your dog, go for a swim, see the mountains and just enjoy the day and view.

Even though it was cold outside, with the sun it was a wonderful walk along the water. The main street is also lined with coffee shops and restaurants. Was nice to see many others enjoying the weather and scenery, although parking took a little time to find.

It's a nice beach area where you can walk, ride bikes, stroll, roller blade, skate for a couple miles along the beach. There's a place you can rent those multiple bikes for families and kayaks. I've gone here to fish as well on the pier. So many things to do! The beach is sandy. BUT be warned. The water is... More

Alki Beach gives you a great view of the skyline especially at night. Completely free ;) It is directly across from downtown Seattle. There is a bunch of restaurants and cafes along the beach.

It's as close to a real beach scene as you're going to get in Seattle. Terrific views of downtown Seattle, laid back feel where you can do active things like run, roller blade, wind surf, play volleyball or just relax on the sandy beach, have a picnic, bbq or stroll into one of the restaurants along the strip.

The beach and promenade are excellent places for a walk. Terrific views of Puget Sound, the downtown Seattle skyline and Olympia mountains in the distance. Flat, easy walking. Also, lots of good eating places along the way if you want to take a break.

Its such a feel good kinda place. A perfect place for outing with friends/family or kids. You can enjoy in rhe water or just take a long walk on the promenade. Or just cycle your way around. One can spend a perfect evening here. Loved being here.

Going to the beach in December, we were prepared for the cold weather. It was a good place to go for a walk and get out of the house for awhile. Not so impressed with the limited selection of the restaurants that were open for lunch. Beware of the side streets off the main road, they are very narrow and... More

Although we traveled to Seattle in November, we decided to check out this beach for a potential spot to visit in the summer. My 6 year old daughter loved the sand and seeing the tide go out. She collected some small shells and played with another child in the area. We will consider visiting this beach come summer although I... More
