We stopped at Alchi beach to watch sunset and grab a bite at Duke's seafood. We had no issues with parking. There is a nice paved path for biking, running, walking and skate boarding. It was a beautiful beach and view. Lots of shops/restaurants across the street. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to go for a walk along the beach in seattle. Cute little beach where you can access the water for paddle boarding, kayaking and such. Lots of driftwood and very rocky but great views. NIce little walk

My husband, son and I took the West Seattle water taxi to Alki Beach toward the end of our one week vacation in Seattle. We had already done the Harbor Cruise so seeing Seattle from West Seattle was not materially different. I was disappointed in Alki Beach, though. A large portion of it was covered in seaweed and smelled really bad. Once we walked down to the cleaner part, it did not look very appealing to get onto the sand or get in the water....we ended up passing on the experience.

We walked on the sidewalk looking back at the Seattle skyline. Bikers, skaters and walkers were all about on our Sunday AM walk. Great with a stop at Salty's for a great lunch.

We stayed in a house 1 block off Alki Beach and absolutely loved it. Walking along the beach, the ice cream shops, the resturants, the people, the little market on Sundays....it was amazing. A must stop if you're in Seattle!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BEACH & IT'S SCENERY!
I highly recommend spending a day here. Eat at Duke's right across the street.
Wait for sunset and see amazing views of the night skyline in Seattle.

Took the water taxi and free shuttle to Alki beach. Strolled along the beach and figured to take the shuttle back to the ferry terminal. Nothing spectacular worth visiting. If you were thinking of coming here to take pictures of Seattle skyline, the best place to take pictures is on the water taxi as it leaves Seattle. On Alki beach, the place to take pictures is by the ferry terminal. But still not as good as taking the picture while on the water taxi.

My boyfriend I visit at the beach and it was absolutely stunning! The crowd was nice and the view was gorgeous. We love the strip because there’s so many things to do. There are lots of nice restaurants to try and there’s an option to bring firewood to have a small fire on the beach and enjoy the view. Definitely recommend!

I found this to be very reminiscent of the surf communities on the east coast - where it's really not hot enough all year to have a real beach tourism scene but there is a coastal community of beach and ocean/sea lovers who hang out all seasons. It's really not much of a beach but it still feels really relaxing like getting away from the city and yet close enough.
