We have been here a few times but it usually too cold to sit and swim. This time the weather was perfect! not too crowded which was nice.

Parking can be dicey, but otherwise this is a terrific park. Very nice beach, lots of areas to sit, a cute café. On a nice day it is beautiful but I'm guessing it would be a fun beach walk even in weather that is overcast...More

Golden Gardens is a scenic, quiet spot to stroll along the water and take in the beautiful surroundings. My toddler daughter LOVED running along the beach (a novelty to a resident of a landlocked state) and even rolling around in the sand. You can't help...More

Nice little park and beach for a leisurely walk. The weather was warm and sunny, so a lot of people were out, barbecuing and playing sports. There was even a wedding in the park. Good option for a summer's day. There is also parking close...More

I try to visit on the "off times". A nice weekday, or sunset...not so much during the weekends during the summer. (It will get very crowded and parking can be a challenge). But it definitely needs to be on your list of parks to visit....More

Large parking lot and it’s relatively “free” (2 HR grace period). The Park is located on the Puget Sound in the Ballard District of Seattle. The shoreline is probably ¾” mile long with “fine” granite sandy beaches and ample grass area behind it. Great place...More

We went on a morning where it wasn't very busy, but there were still people combing the beach. This is an excellent spot to take pictures and watch a sunset. You can see snow capped mountains on the horizon, and there is opportunity to gather...More

You can park near the water on weekdays. Weekends your better off parking at the top. No charge. Miles of trails with Puget Sound views or walks along a creek up hill into the woods including an old orchard area.

I Have always seen many people having fires on the beach, so i think it is okay. However, a quick phone call to the beach department never hurts

It is all dependent on the tides. Low tides, you will find tidepools and it is safer for the kids. High tides you will probably not find tidepools
