Tim Lorang knows beer! We tried 4 different beers at Obec brewing, Stoup Brewing, and Reuben's Brews. He discussed how beer started and how it has advanced/changed through the years to what it is today. He was funny and educational. Thanks to Tim, I may turn out to be a beer snob yet. :)

My wife and myself had the pleasure of doing the Ballard brewery with Tim my wife who is not even a big fan of beer even thoroughly enjoyed her self we were both super impressed with Tim and his knowledge of the area and the Brews
Not to mention Tim is a top bloke and look forward to doing one of his other tours next time we are in Seattle

Matt, it was a pleasure having you and Gabby on the tour. I am glad that you both enjoyed it and learned a bit more about beer and the breweries of the Northwest. I am looking forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Seattle.

My husband and I went on this tour last week and it was fantastic. We visited 3 breweries- all in walking distance of each other. Tim was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, fun and the beer samples were plentiful. A Seattle must for anyone that enjoys a good time while learning and having great samples of all locally brewed beers.

Wow, what a great tour. Tim expertly guided us through over 25 beers, their style, origin and unique flavours profiles.

My husband and I had a great time with Tim on the Central Ballard brewery tour on the 4th of July. We learned SO much about beer and experienced an incredibly wide variety of tasting. Tim keeps his tours small so you can expect a lot of attention and Q&A opportunities. Most of the breweries don't have food so maybe bring some like snacks (nuts or pretzels) or have a solid meal before you go. It is a pretty good amount of beer and the "tastings" are pretty hardy. I would definitely recommend any of the tours to beers lovers, or even just beer likers, as everyone is bound to find a beer that suits their tastes :) I look forward to taking another tour with Tim on our next visit to Seattle.

I really faffed up and we were an HOUR late. Despite this Tim made it work. He is FASCINATING and very funny. I am really looking forward to doing another of his tours but in a different area. We had a tremendously fun evening and I strongly recommend Tim to anyone who has even a vague interest in beer. Also afterwards we had the option of hanging about with him and his lovely wife but we had to head home back to the dogs-which in hindsight we could have brought with us.

I took a tour with Tim in late August and had a wonderful time. He was very knowledgeable and was enthusiastic about beer. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning about the brewery scene in Seattle!

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area of town we were in, the beer we were drinking, and you could tell he was very passionate about his town and beer. Our group of 6 had a wonderful time and would definitely do the tour again.
