Justin and I held our wedding on the boat, Olympic Star, during Jan 2022. From the start, sales group manager Jenelle, was a pleasure to work with. She was super communicative, very accommodating and also willing to work with us for our budget and not judgmental. Sheer delight. The Captain, Jeff, even took time to meet us, allowed us to tour the boat and was extremely pleasant and flexible. The wedding itself on the boat was just AMAZING. The staff really took care of us (they made every feel so comfortable and at home and were constantly smiling!!). All the guests had nothing but good things to say about the service, food, atmosphere, flower arrangements etc. Nothing but good things to say about it and we are SO SO grateful to have found Waterways Cruises and Events and used them for our wedding. The total cost was extremely reasonable and they were extremely upfront and there were no hidden costs. Thank you so much to the Waterways Cruises, Jeff, Jenelle and their team, they definitely have got something really good going on!!

I reviewed Waterways a couple of years ago, and I'm happy to say that although they are now located in South Lake Union, the cruise itself and the food and service are still excellent.
This time, we went on a cold day in December, and the only negative thing I can say about the day was the fact that if you arrive a bit early, there is no convenient indoor waiting area, so we took shelter between two building to avoid the wind. They should have some protected waiting area.
But again, the yacht was clean and perfectly heated and comfortable, ambiance was wonderful, and the food and service were absolutely top notch.

Nothing but great things to say about our experience on the Independence Day Brunch Cruise. The slight delay in departure was due to staff calling out (so hard to hire and keep staff right now in the service industry) but the staff who showed handled the curveball swimmingly! Servers were excellent, chefs were talented and enthusiastic, and Captain Jeff was knowledgeable and personable! Everyone went the extra mile to ensure my sister’s birthday was recognized and celebrated. It was such a special day- thanks so much!

We signed up for the 2 hour Sunday dinner cruise, the cruise lasted 1.25 hours then returned to lake union dock area and floated for the last 45 min. I know fuel is high right now but there was no notice about it and if we were going to float it would have been better in Lake Washington with a much better view than the navy ship area. There was absolutely NO response to multiple calls and emails trying to change our reservation from 6 to 4 as 2 of our party came down with COVID and could not attend. we left 3 voicemails and 3 emails and NEVER heard back from anyone. We were extremely disappointed, especially because we had gone on the brunch cruise in 2020 during covid and had a nice experience. At this point we won't book another cruise with Waterways!

Unique experience to see Seattle’s inner waterways and UofW from the water side during Sunday Brunch. Cruise travels north and then into lake Washington. Total sailing time is about 2 hours. Food was well portioned and there was time to sit outside in the top deck after eating. Get in line early for the buffet as the line will be long but moving. And parking was a bit confusing. One set of QR codes said not open even after 10:30. So use the pay by phone app. (Seems like these details should be worked out)

Lovely cruise with a great crew. Food was great. They followed COVID guidelines which made us comfortable. My only feedback was I wish I knew that balloons weren't available as part of the celebration/party package. Also paid extra for a guaranteed window seat when all the seats were window seats.

Part great, part very disappointing. The room, food and wait staff were really great. I'm sure the view was great too but we wouldn't know since the windows were fogged up the whole time and couldn't see out them. The tiny fans attached to each window barely helped and only made it cold at the table. Since the view was 90% of why we came up from Portland to go on the cruise we were very disappointed.

While we’re happy to hear you enjoyed the food and had a great experience with our staff on board, we’re sorry to hear you weren’t able to enjoy the view from your table. During the winter months, condensation on the windows can be a challenge. Our staff is constantly working hard to prevent this from happening during our cruises, but this winter has been especially challenging with all of the rain we’ve been receiving. Regardless, this is not the experience we aim to provide and we'd like the opportunity to discuss your feedback with you. We had fun on this cruise but i felt it was more of a breakfast cruise rather than brunch. Food was mostly eggs with sides. As a brunch cruise i would have expected a wider variety of foods… meats, etc. desserts were good. A few of our drinks ended up with fruit flies in them but the crew replaced them with new drinks. Overall, crew was very hospitable and cruise on Washington Lake was nice.

Sunday Brunch Cruise. Fabulous staff! Excellent food, cruise, narration of sites on the water. Wonderful experience for my 92 year old Father.
The entire staff took great care and effort to make this a special day. Thank you Pasqual and all who were involved to help. Whether your visiting Seattle or live here, this is a must do adventure.

The brunch cruise was absolutely wonderful. Food was delicious and although it is not a buffet style currently due to covid there was more the enough to eat! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful (and willing to snap a great photo!) We had a great time and will most definitely be back. Excited to try the dinner style. Thank you for such a wonderful morning!

Hi Paula, Thank you for your question. It depends upon the cruise. Our Sunset Dinner Cruises provide our guests who are celebrating special occasions an opportunity to dress up a bit. Our daytime cruises are more casual and it depends upon whether you are with your corporate group on a private cruise or with friends enjoying a relaxing time on the water on one of our public cruises. On our public daytime cruises, casual attire is acceptable much like you would wear to a nice restaurant on shore. Bringing a light sweater is always a good choice for evening when you visit the open-air decks. It can be breezy on the water. I hope I have answered your question. Our public dining cruises follow cruise routes on Lake Washington and Lake Union. Unless there are unforeseen circumstances that prevent the captain from following a designated route or in the event of adverse weather conditions, you will see city skylines including the Space Needle, shoreline activity, including floating homes on Lake Union; the world's longest floating bridge, shorelines on Lake Washington, including Bill Gates' home and other estates, UW statdium, and you will cruise under beautiful old bridges, among the many other sights along the way. The captain's narrative will point out the sights and give information as you cruise. Our cruise manager and servers can also answer any questions you may have. I paid full price, and don't regret it one bit. A bargin is always great and I wouldn't pass it up, but for a truly lovely evening cruise I can not say I felt over charged. There are lots of options and choices on there website, it just depends what fits your timing.
