An escape room is a real life adventure game where players are in a room and must use objects they find in the room/environment as well as their brains to solve a mystery or set of puzzles within a set time limit to reach a goal or "escape" from the room or situation. These are popular team building exercises and family friendly fun. It’s basically a 60 min live action movie with you as the star!

Hourglass/Seth's Evil Dead 2 escape room was without a doubt the best experience I've had all pandemic! Myself and some friends from college all Zoom'd in to experience it, and it was worth every penny. We were discussing it at length for weeks after! For what it's worth, I'm a producer at Disney animation and the levels of detail and performance blew me away. I've shared this with all of my contacts who like escape rooms and/or Evil Dead, and not a single friend has been disappointed. I'm looking forward to rallying my friends again soon for whatever Seth/Hourglass have prepared for next!

We have done a few Escape rooms but never online and this was really good and very well organised. Lots of layers to the room and the guide (with a steady-cam in the room) was friendly, funny and enthusiastic. It takes a few minutes to to get your head into the different format and I would recommend having a large amount of screen estate as you need a few browser windows open at the same time. Good interactive elements and once into the game, it is very interesting and as good as being there in person. Excellent fun!

We saw advertisements for the official Evil Dead 2 escape room around Seattle and had to try it out. It was, hands down, the best escape room I've ever done. The puzzles were well-designed, and the inside references to the movie are great whether you're a hardcore fan, or you've watched the movie once. It was really, really fun and I would really recommend it!

We had a wonderful guide named Tyler who made sure those of us who had never done an escape room understood how it worked. Then the room itself was a good level of challenging, definitely took team work and some clever thinking to get through all the puzzles. Our entire group had such a good time and we’ll definitely be back.

We were in the area for a friend's wedding and he actually planned this fun evening for us before the wedding. Wow were we impressed with the setup that they have at Hourglass Escapes.
The themed rooms were amazing and both the groups had fun. We split into a group of girls and a group of guys for the different adventures and all had a great time.
The guys had an Evil Dead themed room and we were blown away at how interesting and complex the different pieces of the puzzle were for us to solve. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area and you want to do some fun and challenging escape rooms.

Great escape room. Lots of puzzles which worked different parts of our brains, facilitated teamwork, and got everyone involved. We didn’t finish on time, but the hosts generously gave us a couple more minutes to finish because we were oh-so-close!

Huge shout-out to the Hourglass team, they are the BEST! We had signed up for the Ghostly Galleon and later had a very special (thank you!!!) opportunity to do the Evil Dead 2 room as well. Both rooms are set up to be challenging and so much fun. We enjoyed both rooms a lot but the Evil Dead 2 room was hands-down the absolute best! This room is the owner's special project and the love that went into this room shows. It's funny, challenging, with amazing details and lots of throwbacks to the original movie.
Thanks again to the whole team for going above and beyond and being as kind as they are, we had a blast and can't wait to tell everybody to check out Hourglass Escapes when they are in Seattle!

I took a group from my workplace and truly got the Team-Building experience. We were a mix of first-timers and veterans, and the puzzle rooms were so well put together that we all had fun, no matter our experience. The team, especially Seth, was great to work with and kept things simple and easy. They were very flexible, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. My favorite quote was from a staff member in the morning, that said "they just feel like the entire office had better spirits after the experience." We will be back!

Did the virtual Evil Dead 2 escape room and had a really fun time. I wasn't sure how good a virtual escape room would be, but Hourglass really made the most of the limitations and injected the experience with a lot of humor.
The Evil Dead 2 experience itself was really well done. The room is a dead ringer for the movie's cabin setting, and they even use actual props from the films. Lots of little Easter eggs throughout for fans of the movies too.
It would have been great to see all those details in person, but at least until the pandemic ends, the virtual escape room is the next best thing.

We're always happy to get a fan of the movie to come in and catch all the small details that went into this room. Our Evil Dead 2 room is officially licensed and crafted by a collection of longtime and hardcore fans of the series, so a lot of love went into the set design and puzzle creation. We're so glad that you were able to see that and that you enjoyed your virtual experience! Thank you for your review. Now that we are running in-person showings again, we hope you'll visit us in the flesh to try out this room or our other two fantastic room!

My crew and I played the online version of the Evil Dead 2 escape room for my birthday. I should start my review by declaring that I'm an escape room snob with hundreds of games under my belt, as well as months as a technician building escape rooms for an esteemed company on the east coast. I've also been a massive snob of the Evil Dead franchise for 30+ years, and have met members of the cast several times, as well as visiting notable filming locations. So when I saw this, and confirmed it was officially licensed, I booked it and pulled out the robes and gavel. My judgment?
Fun. Pure fun. The crew and I enjoyed every lick of this experience. It meets the standards we'd expected of Evil Dead in regards to the humor, weirdness, and macabre elements. As an online escape game, the flow was natural and had an "item" delivery system that was perfect for anyone comfortable on a PC. We also appreciated the difficulty of the puzzles in relation to the "capacity/compliance" of our Shemp gamemaster. The tech is fun to watch, even virtually. It's just a truly fun experience.
If you're an Evil Dead fan, this is a must play. Otherwise...blow.
