Our guide TJ really made this tour worthwhile. He spoke quickly, but with such enthusiasm for the topic it was impossible to be disinterested in the history and humor he shared. It's been more than a week since my tour and I remember so many of the details I learned from TJ--that's how I know it was a good tour. This tour can get a little crowded, and I think it would benefit from having smaller group sizes. There's a lot of time spent going up and down stairs, and from inside to outside and vice-versa. If you have difficulty walking or standing, this may not be the tour for you. In addition, don't expect to use this tour as an escape from the rain- though you'll be underground much of the time, you still have to walk outside to get to different parts of the tour! I wouldn't recommend bringing kids under 12 on this tour due to the nature of some of the content. My final note is a warning that the website (as of early June) said there was a bar/cafe available on site for people arriving early who might need a bite or a beverage. That was not the case- we waited in an area that looked like a pub but wasn't operational at that time.

The tour was extremely enjoyable. The tour guide was informative and presented the information in a fun and interactive way. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend but, at the end of tour, the manner and rudeness of the man working in the final exhibit was quite distressing. My husband needed to pull down his mask from his nose as he has a disability and experienced difficulty breathing. Although we are not residents in the US, an exempt certificate on medical grounds would apply in our home country which would negate the need for him to wear a mask. Whilst I appreciate that rules differ in each country and in the US we need to abide by those rules, I was horrified that the employee continued to shout at my husband in a very rude and public manner that he wasn’t pulling his mask up; even after I had explained he had a disability and my husband was already walking to the exit as instructed by the employee. The member of staff even included other members of the public to gain their agreement without them knowing of a disability and shouted at my husband that some people have illnesses and so clearly expressed the view that he thought my husband was being selfish and disrespectful. I would highly recommend the tour but feel I need to highlight to the employee that not all disabilities are visible and perhaps a more polite tone and a greater level of understanding would help. You could have allowed my husband to leave in a dignified manner and not be shamed by his illness.

The tour was very disappointing. We were expecting to get a tour with details and history but instead got an hour of bathroom humor and childish jokes. The tour was overcrowded, with way too many people in small enclosed spaces.

We hadn’t booked but they were able to get us in on the next tour. Fascinating tour of some of the underground tunnels & history of the area around Pioneer Square. Jennifer our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable & informative about the history of Seattle & how it has developed. She is dedicated & passionate about what she does & it shows. We’ll worth the money & would recommend if ever in Seattle for a break.

The tour was cool and the history was really cool! Would have gave 5 stars except TJ our tour guide just couldn’t keep politics out of his speech. There is a time and a place and this wasn’t the place. Then TJ asked for tips! Here is my tip, drop the politics! Also the guy(?) or person in the gift shop said “your mask needs to fully cover your nose”. First, why the masks? The mask mandate was lifted, second the mask was covering my nose just not up to the bridge!
