Very disappointing. When we booked this tour in March, we expected to visit a number of wineries in picturesque vineyards. With one exception, Chateau Ste. Michelle, this was not the case. Instead, we drove through warehouse districts, pulled into parking lots hidden behind blank concrete walls. As far as Chateau Ste. Michelle, this was the one winery that my wife told Michael was a must when she originally booked the tour. However, a week before we were schedule to go on the tour, Michael contacted us to confirm our reservations. My wife asked about Chateau Ste. Michelle and Michael told her that we would not be going there because they were closed on Mondays, the day we were scheduled. My wife reminded Michael of their earlier conversations, and that we booked a tour on Monday at his suggestion, with his knowing full well, that this winery was a must. After this, he did call back to say that he was wrong, the winery was open and would be included in the tour. I have no doubt that, had she not been so insistent, we would have visited another concrete block building.
The actual tastings were good, but the pours were very, very limited. We have toured many wineries over the years and these were, by far, the smallest “pours” that we have seen.
The best part of tour was that we met a very nice couple with whom we shared several tastings and lunch.
