    Good but not great
After reading all the reviews, we were very excited to go on the ride. It was nice, and we enjoyed it, but the actual ride is very short, no more than 5 minutes. We found it very expensive for what it is (it was $117 with tax for six of us). It’s also a somewhat limited view of Washington as it didn’t include any of the apple orchards, wineries, and other iconic sights of the state.

    Better Than The Wheel
A similar experience to Disneyland's "Soaring Over California". A completely immersive experience that makes you feel as if you're soaring over the ocean and through the woods. A little cheesy at the beginning, but all in good fun. It would be better if it was a few minutes longer.

    Corny. Touristy. FUN!!
Okay, this was a great way to see Seattle. I didn't think I would like it, but I did. Our group went after dark, when the crowds and kids were gone, so we literally walked onto the ride. It's a little pricey, but it was fun. Seriously!

    Tickets DO EXPIRE
I purchased 6 tickets December 2021. According to the website, tickets never expire and can be used any time. My family went to use the tickets December 2022 and were told that they are expired. I argued with the ticket taker that they do not expire. She took me to the ticket window where another employee told me they are expired. After driving 40 minutes, parking, and waiting in the line for 40 minutes I gave in and purchased 6 new tickets so my family could enter. I have called and asked to speak to a manager and have been refused. I was given an email address that bounced back to me. I sent an email to the info email address listed on the website and have not had a reply. DO NOT buy tickets ahead of time and believe that they won't expire.

Amazing scenery and ride with distracting inauthentic elements
A+ for scenery and being a local version of my favorite ride, Soarin' over California! The scenery in this ride is stunning, and the ride itself is a take on the outdoors and connection with nature unique to Washington. The staff are dressed as forest rangers, to go with the log cabin motif of the ride, and were all very polite and helpful throughout. The Indigenous decor, fictional narrative and imagery, however, was very distracting from this experience and was not necessary. When you enter the building, you are taken through two successive areas with log cabin walls, decorated with Indigenous-styled masks and symbolic imagery. The first room, where safety info is given, is full of totem poles and masks, and in the second, you rise up over a wall that features a Salish-styled raven motif. It should be noted that none of the works were done by actual Indigenous artists, nor were Indigenous artists commissioned or paid for it. The ride itself has the most STUNNING scenery. You are lifted up into a hemisphere screen for a full motion and visual experience Initially there is a totem pole of false imagery that transforms into a flying giant eagle. I did find this CGI "Thunderbird" that leads the way at the beginning to be distracting as it is not a true First Nations story, and the lack of authenticity from that cartoon was distracting during the beautiful scenery of the Pacific coast. However, it was not present throughout much of the ride. Other notable scenes included Lake Chelan, the Washington state interior and the mountain bike trails in the forest. My favorite, however, was the San Juan Islands, where orcas are breaching at your feet. My son and I gasped with delight at that part. Overall, the visuals and effects and motion are excellent and the ride engineering is on par with the Disney ride it was inspired by. However, the constant use of Native references was distracting and unnecessary and does not contribute to an authentic exchange with the Native peoples.

A Fun Way to Experience the Beauty of the Pacific Northwest
My husband and I visited Wings Over Washington on our last trip to Seattle and really enjoyed it. If you've ever ridden Soarin' in Disney or FlyOver in Vegas or Iceland, this is similar. It's basically a 4D motion ride where you feel like you're "flying" over the IMAX-like movie screen and feel the wind and mist as you go. This one "soars" over Washington and you get to experience many beautiful parts of the Pacific Northwest. We've visited a lot of the places shown in person but it's still full to experience them from a new view! I sometimes get motion sick but was fine if I just looked off to the side for a moment or two. This is a short little attraction and reasonably priced, so I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

    Tech Issues Disappointed Us
My husband, adult daughter and I, visiting from Arizona, drove from Kenmore to the Seattle waterfront on a Monday in September primarily to go on the Wings Over Washington ride. Hubby and I are 75 and we walked quite a ways to get here. The first time we got in line to purchase tickets, the man said they were having tech issues and to return in a half hour. We waited and returned, he said it would be about an hour. So we sat down and waited and had some salmon, returned an hour later, "Still need to check back in an hour. " The ride sounds beautiful and we were disappointed. So we went sailing instead! I still want to experience this but we already spent the money elsewhere.

Well worth the money for the scenery and the scariness of the ride
This was a very exciting video Experience like IMAX the seats wiggle and they squirt water on you it looks like your seat is tilting they shake it they make you put on the seatbelt and you certainly feel like you are glad you did. you pick up your feet when it looks like you're flying too low and you're gonna hit something. it's just really good

    Beautiful WA State
I went to Wings Over Washington tonight. Wed. night around 8:30 pm, waited in line for 5 mins. The show is pretty short and the intro is kind of corny, which makes me laugh, which is good. It's $18 well spent for the experience of feeling like you're flying over the mountains and lakes and appreciating how gorgeous this State is.

    Incredible experience!
Such an amazing experience!! I am so glad we decided to go on this. We went as a family of 4 with a 14 year old and an 11 year old. We all loved it. It’s a relatively short ride but incredible. In total it was probably 20 mins. We needed to show proof of vax over 12 (I think you can show negative test too) and wear masks the entire time which was no problem. You sit in an amusement park ride seat, buckle up and the platform shifts during the ride with special effects like spritzing of water and scent. You really feel immersed in the ride. It was one of the high points of the trip.

We had not heard of this activity before arriving in Seattle. We only found it when buying tickets for the Great Wheel. This was so much more fun than the ferris wheel. My whole family loved it, our daughters were 10 and 13 when we did it. We all wanted to do it again but ran out of time on the trip. Will definitely do it again on our next visit!

I wasn't 100% certain what to expect with this attraction, but it ended up being really cool. With additional sensory aspects of the ride (water spray and smell, mostly), this really does give you the illusion of flying through Washington's landscape. A lot of the shots looked straight out of a tourism ad, which can be a plus or a minus, depending on your predilection. Overall, a great way to spend 15-30 minutes.

Similar to Soarin' at Disney, this adventure takes you high over Washington State. Since we loved the Disney ride, we wanted to try this and are glad we did. You start at a "Ranger Station," in a WA State Park and then transfer to the "ride" vehicle. Loved the images and the story line.

This is a must do when visiting the Seattle Waterfront! Once you enter, it's an amazing experience, minus walking up all the stairs. There are no words to describe the amazing views & feelings you get as you sore over the different sceneries. Would not recommend if you get motion sickness easily.

Very moving experience. Similar to Soaring Over California which we did at Disneyland years ago. You "feel" the experience of flying over the various parts of the State of Washington & experience many of it's activities. Worth the price. Would do again if in town with visitors.

This was on Pier 57... me and my nephew were planning on visiting the Seattle Ferris Wheel. Great experience! I thought it was an IMAX type of event but when they said that you will have to seat belt yourself in, put your bags Under the seat, I knew we would be moving.
The experience has the seats move and the screen gives you the feeling of FLYING over the Seattle attractions! From jet-sking to soaring over the mountains and getting splashed from whales jumping this place was a wonderful experience. It also lets tourists see all the fun things there are to do in Seattle Washington.

Very family friendly too! I highly recommend it!!! Also very enjoyable for teens and adults. My 19 year old nephew loved it.

On a recent visit to Seattle my wife and I went on Wings Over Washington down on Pier 57. We were really glad we did this, as it was an exciting way to see the sights of the state of Washington and you felt like you were flying. Plus they have a senior discount.
