This was going to be my second ride with Seattle Mountain Bike Tours unfortunately they were completely booked for the time I was in Seattle. I expected this to be the end of Matt's (Seattle Mountain Bike Tours / Sacred Rides) involvement.

Matt took it upon himself to insure I did not leave Seattle without getting a ride in. First he indentified Ride Bikes in Issaquah Seattle as an option. He personally checked out the rental fleet to make sure it was quality. Then he created a trail forks map Grand Ridge to Duthie loaded it on a Wahoo unit and left it at the Ridebikes in Issaquah for me. Finally he offers to assistance should I run into issues on the ride. This above and beyond service was all done just so I would be not miss out on a ride. There was no financial compensation. This was all about mountain biking culture.

The ride from Issaquah to Duthie and back was 21 miles. Nothing to technical but plenty of opportunity to climb and test your cornering skills. When you get to Duthie it is a smorgasbord or technical riding and features.

I had SUCH a great time out on tour with Seattle Mountain Bike Tours! Our guides Matt and Lisa made everyone in the group feel comfortable on the bikes and inspired so much confidence in our riding. The bikes are very, very nice, and the trails were so much fun to ride. I haven't been on a "mountain bike" (my mongoose from when I was younger) since probably 12 years old, but because of our guides I felt very prepared for the trails we rode.

Can't recommend Seattle Mountain Bike Tours highly enough. If you are a hardcore biker on vacation, they have great bikes for you so you won't need to bring your own. If you are a beginner looking to get into the sport, or just looking for a fun adventure for a day while in Seattle, give them a call!

We had an extraordinary day cycling in the Cascades with Seattle Mountain Bike Tours. Matt is an experienced and accomplished guide and instructor. My son had limited cycling experience, so it was great that Matt was such a patient teacher. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a different kind of PNW experience, literally off the beaten path. I only wish I’d found them sooner.

The guided mountain bike excursion I went on with Seattle Mountain Bike Tours was fantastic with above and beyond service from the pick-up, setup, bike fit and orientation, to the trail ride, snacks, personal coaching and a tasty meal. Matt and Lisa were my guides and they took care of everything! The equipment was elite level gear! They are very service oriented and skilled guides - I couldn't have imagined a better experience. I look forward to a return trip! Thank you so much for an awesome day trip to the top of Capitol Mountain!

Amazing trip! I had a great guide, Ken. He had a great itinerary planned and plenty of options based on how the day was going. Friendly, personable and knowledgeable, he was helpful and easy to ride with. We had a great ride, and great lunch. This was my third time and will go again the next time I’m in the area.

Everything about this intermediate to advanced tour was amazing. I was picked up at my downtown hotel by John, our tour guide. We picked up the other riders and headed out to the trails.

After a bit of of a check out by John at a skills park, we headed out to the single track. The bikes were carbon fiber, full suspension in excellent condition. I was happy with my bike even considering that my main ride at home is a fully tricked out carbon bike. The trails were in excellent condition, and we got a variety of riding in.

This company takes care of every detail, great organization, effective communication, and they sweat all of the small stuff. The vehicle, the bikes, our guide John, the trail selection, the snacks, the picnic lunch, the availability of extra helmets, gloves, and anything else you could need was thought of in advance. This tour isn’t cheap, but I got excellent value for my investment. It was an epic day!

Wow, just bring your shoes and some clothes and these guys sort out the rest. Picked me up at my Hotel and we headed out to Duthie Bike Park to get the bike dialed in and assess what kind of riding I was interested in. Had a blast ripping around the park (Bootcamp, Movin’on, Eternal Flow, Voodoo Child, Duthie Bike park is incredible and it’s a free public park!) for couple hours and getting some useful tips and trips my guide Miles. Packed out for a short drive and a delicious lunch and headed to Rattlesnake Mountain. Geared up with some body armour and went for a bit of a climb (Upward Mobilty & Raging River Trails), the up was work but well worth it. Miles had well timed breaks for pictures where “I” needed and good info about the area and soon we were at the top (11km, 682m vertical). Miles supplied snacks and a drink, we chilled out and took some pics before sending it back down the Mountain. Most fun I’ve had on a bike was bombing down that mountain, the Bike ( giant trance pro advanced 1) provided by Seattle Mountain Bike Tours was a beast and perfect for the terrain we were on. Towers of Power, Raging River, Poppin’tops, Flow State, Canyon Creek. If you like riding, these guys obviously do too, This is a reason for me to come back to Seattle, and I’ll be back.

We are new to the mountain biking world and had the most amazing time with Matt and his crew. We are an active outdoor family but never had tried true mountain biking before and was super excited to learn this activity so we can continue to ride safely. My boys are 12 & 11 and do a lot of city trail riding and did awesome! We spent the day learning the trails at Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park and can't wait to do it again! We learned how to maneuver our bikes safely along the trails, learned trail etiquette as well as learned the benefits of having a good quality bike while riding on a mountain trail.

We were also provided lunch during our day tour which was delicious! I loved that we spent the entire day out doors together as a family and everything was provided for us on this tour, from water, safety gear, bikes, food and snacks as well as transportation straight from our front door!!! Amazing!!!
My boys could not stop talking about this experience and can't wait to do this again!!

If your looking for a fun activity this summer, I would not hesitate to get this on your calendar!!

Noone else signed up for my tour, but instead of cancelling like many companies would do, I ended up getting a private tour. It was my first time mountain biking and Ben was very helpful with instruction and tips. We spent the morning in the bike park getting comfortable with riding and having some fun. After a good lunch at a local restaurant, we rode up and down a mountain trail a couple times. It was a great workout, fun when I would finally relax going downhill, and I came away feeling much more confident in my biking skills.
