This was going to be my second ride with Seattle Mountain Bike Tours unfortunately they were completely booked for the time I was in Seattle. I expected this to be the end of Matt's (Seattle Mountain Bike Tours / Sacred Rides) involvement. Matt took it upon himself to insure I did not leave Seattle without getting a ride in. First he indentified Ride Bikes in Issaquah Seattle as an option. He personally checked out the rental fleet to make sure it was quality. Then he created a trail forks map Grand Ridge to Duthie loaded it on a Wahoo unit and left it at the Ridebikes in Issaquah for me. Finally he offers to assistance should I run into issues on the ride. This above and beyond service was all done just so I would be not miss out on a ride. There was no financial compensation. This was all about mountain biking culture. The ride from Issaquah to Duthie and back was 21 miles. Nothing to technical but plenty of opportunity to climb and test your cornering skills. When you get to Duthie it is a smorgasbord or technical riding and features.

Pickup, guide expertise, bike and such were all excellent. Let's talks about the fun part. My guide Eric synced with the type of trials and pace I wanted to do from the start. We started the morning at Raging River, flowy trials and ended the day at Tiger Mountain, much more technical. He was was very good at letting me know what to expect, allowing me to ride at my capabilities I have been mountain biking for 25 years and this was the most fun I have had.

My favorite part of this experience was the variety of trails. I ride advanced and I was very impressed with the quality of the trails design/flow and obstacles. That said, I've never ridden Seattle. I only had limited time and I didn't want to waste any time figuring out routes on my own and that's when I started looking for a guide. I spoke with and ended up riding with Matt Paul. Matt is an excellent guide and made this experience extraordinary from a client perspective. He was timely for pickup, hospitable and what I REALLY appreciated was that he drove safely and prioritized. This is very important to me being from a small town and not being used to the city traffic, I felt very comfortable as a passenger. Before we rode, Matt added he is certified in first aid and about trail etiquette and anything we should keep in mind, while riding. Again, from a rider/client perspective I appreciated knowing we were out with someone who knows the area fluently and if the situation arose, could help and get help. On the trail, Matt gave trail info, tips on riding direction, and best routes and also offered riding style and technique tips. Between rides Matt loaded/unloaded and broke down and set up bikes and spent time fine tuning sag/ suspension so that the riders would get the full benefit of the bikes they were riding. At the end of the day I was more than satisified with the amount of riding we had done and I got exactly what I wanted - A great guide, who seems like a really good person in general who observed and then showed me the way to the trails that best suited my riding style. Outstanding overall experience. Thank you Matt and thank you Seattle Mountain Bike Tours!

THE BEST customer service!! My teenage son went mountain biking for the first time for his birthday with a friend. They had a blast!!! They provided high end bikes, protective gear and buffs! He also learned how to take jumps and gaps! Going out for burgers and bringing them home we’re icing on the cake! He wants to continue riding (with Matt) whenever possible!

It was my first mountain biking experience and the tour guide was very nice and he taught me step by step mountain biking. I had only tried manual biking before and fat tire mountain bikes are so different with suspension system but really fun once we know how to balance on them. Thank you for wonderful experiences!
