For those who would like to jazz up their preparation of food a bit with one, two or more fresh spices from around the world, then this is the place to come. Dozens sit on display in jars, where customers sniff the contents and decide what to buy. They write down their choices and leave the list at the counter,... More

This place is well worth making the trip to Pike Place & finding your way down the stairs to Western. The spices are uber-fresh, and their prices are a fraction of what you pay for the sawdust passing as spice found in grocery stores. Plus the friendly staff can give you plenty of ways to use those little bottles of... More

Because ot the many detours around Pike Market, we needed to be vigilant about where we could part. We found a garage, then - as we left the building - ran right into a clapboard sign that advertised this place. of course, my wife being the great cook that she is, just had to go in and, for sure, she... You walk in and the smell is wonderful. I love the idea you can mix your own spices or buy one of there pre-made bottles.

My "go to" for spices. iheart this place! The staff are very knowledgeable. It beats buying spices from the grocery store, which cost a ton for a small bottle & have probably been on the shelf for who knows how long!!

Either visit or use their website, World Spice is the best. Found them about 8 years ago on a trip to Seattle and have been getting the bulk of my spices from them ever since. My wife is a tea drinker and loves the quality of teas from them.

Huge array of spices and spice blends. They fresh grind the spices and seal them in air-tight bags. You select from a tantalizing array of test bottles and then present your list for your freshly ground spices.

Been there three times now and will likely never go back. Despite the great selection of spices the service is somewhere between haughty and arrogant.

This is the place to go if you are an experience cook, or novice. The range of spices and spice blends is amazing. They fresh grind the spices for you when you order. You take a checklist around the store, tantalizing your nose with the aromas from the test bottles, check out the large cookbook selection as well. Then present... More

I stumbled upon their wares in Steelhead restaurant who featured the smoked salt and habenero black pepper on their tables. World spice is right there on lower pikes market street side. Great assortment of spices and more authentic than those "trendy" spice shops. I went to get the salt and pepper, and came out with a great truffle salt and... More
