It´s a small square, we couldn´t find anything special in it, besides the totem of course. The area is quite dodgy, specially at night.

This is where Seattle started in 1852. Today the area is home to lots of historic building including the famous Smith Tower. Art galleries, bookstores cafes and eclectic shops dot the area. There is a pedestrian street and a Final Friday art walk each month....More

The Pioneer Square area is an interesting spot to visit, from the old bars, restaurants and the buildings in general. The Totem pole stands front and centre where it has stood for many years. It does seem a little dirtier than the downtown part of...More

I understand from locals that this is the site of the area's oldest European settlement (though a spot across the bay apparently has a competing claim), and the square still has some of that flavor, e.g., with its pergola. If you visit this area, I'd...More

I found this bench along side the Square. I was waiting for my wife and friends to complete their shopping. So I just took the time to people watch. What a great place to spend some time!

Cool architecture! Cool history and Nice tour of the under ground city in pioneer square! Nicely decorated store windows! Nice weather for us!

This location did not fulfill the pop culture that my teams were looking for! I should've popped for the underground tour to maybe keep their focus and attention.

An interesting part of Seattle's downtown. It has many attractions in the area including a park. Also, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops are in abundance. Unfortunately, the homeless are in abundance too! However, the area is vibrant and interesting with the history of the city....More

While the glass shops and the galleries are appealing during the day, the large number of "characters" make this part of Seattle a little less fun after nightfall. In addition, the signage is not the best so you can get lost easily.

We really enjoyed the vibrancy of the area. Clean and free of trash. The buildings were interesting as was the quare itself.
