Skagway's "The Days of '98 Show with Soapy Smith"! - The Longest Running show in the north! Since 1923, The Days of '98 show has stupefied and bedazzled audiences with the tale of Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith, Alaska's most notorious outlaw. Soapy reigned over Skagway during the wildest days of the Klondike Gold Rush, and this colorful vaudevillian musical recounts his incredible life and dramatic demise! With can-can dancers, ragtime music, riotous humor, and the great con-man himself, Soapy Smith, this show is a treat for the whole family!

The Days of 98 show in Skagway is an extremely well-done Broadway (Skagway) musical, professionally written, directed, choreographed and produced. Skagway being a small town, I became very friendly with the cast, running into them all over town. If you visit, it's a MUST-SEE. Here are pics of the show, and a picture of them I took a few minutes... More

Mainly to get in out of the rain and to kill some time before getting back on our cruise ship, we paid US$21 each to watch this hour long romp. As the packed house was settling in, we were entertained by a gentleman who sang songs of the gold rush, self-accompanied on guitar. "Klondike" girls in period dress delivered popcorn... More

Three kids, ages 10 to 14, and 70 year old grandmother loved it! Reasonable priced, talented cast, great musical score, and entertaining story. Great stop for Skagway.

We attended this show as part of your we booked though it is easily accessed by just walking in. The show began with a short session of songs and poetry. The main show followed with a song and dance telling the story if Soapy Smith and the days of 1898 in Skagway during the gold rush. Music and dance is... More

I didn't plan to be part of the show. Probably shouldn't sit in the front row if you don't want to get pulled up on stage. Very entertaining.

We booked tickets for a morning show during our recent visit to Skagway on a cruise. It was a fun way to get a unique look at life in town during the gold rush! The music was good and the actors were talented & fun.

Great little show about the life and times of soapy Smith. Lasts about an hour, cost $20 plus local tax. Funny, entertaining, good singing well worth the cost a must do in Skagway

We went to this show because a relative once ran it many years ago. It reminded me of some old TV vaudeville shows that I saw as a kid in the 40's and 50's. It was mildly entertaining and probably worth the money compared to what else there is in town. My wife was chosen for the audience participation, so... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the days of 98 show and encourage everyone making a trip to Skagway to take time out to see this treat. The actors work very hard to make this a fun and enjoyable treat for everyone in the audience. A must.

We inadvertently stumbled across the Days of 98 Show while walking down Broadway Street. Folks in period costumes invited passerby’s to learn about Soapy Smith and the Klondike days. Since we arrived 10 minutes into the show, we were given a discount and told the performers would be so happy to see us. We entered the theater and were very... More
