Walking along the boardwalk in Skagway is like steppiing back in time. Very nice area to stroll and take in the scenery and the shopping and dining experiences.

Liked the town of Skagway more than Juneau or Ketchikan. A bit more quaint and "in character" with what I expected in Alaska. There were still a proliferation of Diamond, Tanzanite and jewelry shops and foreign made souvenirs typical of a cruise ship town. But...More

Lots of fun walking around this town. Learning about the history and herstory, lol. We enjoyed poking in the local shops and skipped the cruise type shops.

What a well kept, fun town! There’s a wonderful variety of eateries and souvenir shops in this tourist town. Very clean and nicely done, where the buildings take you back to the gold mining days!

We got up early and walked the town before the cruise ship passengers over ran this little town. It was peaceful and pretty.

The streets in Skagway are compact for you to easily walk from the cruise ship and around the city. These two streets have a great collection of iconic and instagrammable shops and buildings. There are bars, coffee shops, two ice cream shops and some independent...More

Walkable, doable and historical! Short jaunt from the cruise ships and a shuttle was also offered if one did not walk. First stop was the museum and then we simply went off to explore shops, bars, and ice cream shops interspersed with historic building. Plus...More

Google Skagway and type in cruise ship schedule. I tried to post the link here but was prevented from doing so. Remember the cruise ships vary greatly in number of passengers they carry. We were there twice during our... More
