This could be filed under "better late than never." My sister, niece and I had a wonderful day in August of 2018 on our Dyea Dave Tour with Craig. There were only 5 of us on the bus with big windows for excellent viewing. The day was filled with unexpected surprises in addition to stops for beautiful pictures. We explored the Carcross Desert, visited a summer sled dog camp with friendly puppies, had an excellent lunch, saw the Emerald Lake, etc. Craig took us to the train for a ride back to Skagway where he met us for a final farewell. While it has taken me almost a year and a half to post this review, I wholeheartedly recommend Dyea Dave tours. It was a highlight of our cruise. Thank you, Craig!

My wife and I recently visited the Yukon with friends on a cruise tour in Alaska. While there, we took a tour that took us to a look out to above Island. This was one of the most picturesque stops that we made on the whole cruise tour. We got some fantastic views and pictures at this location. Very impressive.

We went on Dyea Dave's tour with Rose as our guide, and had a great day exploring so much of the must see beauty of Alaska and Canada. We visited Emerald lake (truly stunning !!) Rose was spot on with all the obligatory photos and then some plus she was super informative, engaging, funny, and made us all so comfortable and taken care of all day long. Plus she seemed to know EVERYONE and they were all so nice, even boarder patrol in both countries, it was a hoot! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone.

My husband and I cannot recommend Dyea (pronounced Dyee) Dave Tours. We're always hesitant to book a tour that isn't with the cruise line, but after reading so many great reviews we decided this was the tour for us. We wanted a small group and that's exactly what we got. There were seven of us on the tour. The bus held 14, so there was plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Rose was our driver and tour guide. She was not only very personable, but she was always extremely knowledgeable in the history of Skagway. We learned so much from her. We saw two bears along the way on our drive through Skagway and then into Canada where our ultimate destination was Emerald Lake. Rose is very well known throughout the town and I could tell she was very well liked. We stopped to play with and pet some sled dog pups, we also stopped in a small town call CarCross for lunch. Quaint little town where we met several locals. On the way back everyone on the tour was on the White Pass train. Rose made sure everyone was on the train comfortably and then was waiting for us after the train ride to take us either back to town or to the ship so we didn't have to walk!! Talk about service. What a great experience and one we will never forget.

We booked with Dyea Dave and had the great fortune to have the one & only Dave as our guide!!! He had a great sense of humor and fabulous stories that kept us all entertained!! We stopped at a mushing kennel and got to play with pups!! We stopped in a quaint little town, Carcross and had a delicious lunch. Great views of Emerald Lake!! We took the train back to Skagway and we were met by Dave and returned to our ship!!! Highly recommend!!
