My husband and I took a bike tour with Sockeye Cycle Co. while visiting Skagway, Alaska. We had a fantastic time! Just the van ride to the bike trail was a down a gorgeous, winding road through steep and wooded land carved by the glaciers. Our guide was awesome and knew so much about the history of the area and... More

My wife and I did this as an excursion while in port on a Princess cruise. I'm an avid cyclist so was eager to do this but my wife was a bit skeptical about the effort required. It was a perfect level of effort for both of us with minimal work required as much of the tour is downhill. We... More

19 years ago I took a shore excursion riding a van into the Klondike mountains and bicycling down. It was a profoundly memorable experience. This past summer I visited Alaska with my husband and took the same shore excursion - almost. This time instead of riding up in a van we rode up on the White Pass train. I truly... More

We took the railroad up the mountain to WhitePass and then biked down the mountain (15 miles - all downhill) to Skagway. The views were incredible and we even stopped to see a bear by the side of the road. The equipment provided was excellent including fowl weather gear. Our guides were top notch and knew what they were doing.... More

Took the Klondike Bicycle Tour - a van ride to the top of White Pass and then cruise back down on the bikes. Really fun trip - the bikes were comfortable and safe with disc brakes, guides were enthusiastic and knowledgable, scenery fantastic. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed our time riding through Dyea. My wife and I were able to learn the history of Skagway's sister city and ghost town. I'm not an avid rider but had little difficulty keeping up. My only disappointment was that I felt it was difficult to really take in all the scenery on a bike. Perhaps it's because of... More

We used this company as part of a cruise ship shore excursion. We took the train to the top of WhitePass, grabbed mountain bikes and coasted downhill for 15 miles..courtesy of Sockeye. The guides were very helpful and pleasant. We felt safe at all times. We really enjoyed the activity and would highly recommend.

My husband and I booked the Triple adventure excursion while in Skagway for the day. Sockeye Cycle Co. handles the first part of this excursion. The staff in the bike shop was very nice and friendly while we waited for our tour guide to arrive. Ryan lead us on a 5 mile bike ride through Dyea. There were several stops... More

I have to admit that I was a little nervous. After riding through the clouds to get to the top of a mountain, we climbed on bikes to ride 15 miles downhill. I am not an avid cyclist but was made comfortable immediately with our guides, Dan and Joe. They were fun, informative and made you feel safe. Great quality... More

We took the White Pass Train up the mountain which had some really cool sights to see. The train has a bathroom and water on it. We were picked up by our guide and dropped off at the train. Our guide also met us at the Summit and we took a short ride to a pull off to get our... More
