The sculpture garden features the work of several local artists. Most of the sculptures are larger than life and are quite detailed. It is a nice way to experience the history and local culture.

The retired dentist that runs this unique sculpture garden was very informative and gracious. Pat was not too keen on visiting this until she saw the amazing sculptures which awed both her and me. They are done by some very well known artists. They also have a very nice gift shop.

We only found this park on a walk around Skagway. A retired dentist has collected over $1,000,000.00 worth of sculpture and has it displayed in a garden full of flowers, especially roses. The sculptures were very interesting and well worth a look. The lady who sold us the entry tickets was very informative and made sure we looked at the collection of old photos. Such an unexpected find in such a small town

If you are interested in seeing a master glass blower create the most beautiful pieces of art then this is the place for you! You also learn how the early crops of Skagway was able to support and keep the population healthy. They grow eatable plants with berries. The guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining especially Hampton Hamsworth (Not to sure on the last name.) Just ask for "The Ham". Lol

We were greeted on the bus by the friendly owner of the gardens. They were beautiful and had an interesting time line to follow as you look at the statues. The man took the time to tell our children a story and he gave them specially hand painted rocks. We wish we had more time to look at the art work.

Came across this totally by accident but so glad we did. Lots of great sculptures. My kids loved posing in front of each sculpture.

We very much enjoyed wandering through the sculpture garden. They also have a pictorial with captions of the gold rush from start to finish that is well done. Well worth the charge of admission.

A short walk from the cruise ship terminal you will find the sculpture garden. Beautiful privately owned garden that has a large collection of bronze sculptures that relate to the area and local history. Also see a self guided tour of pictures that follows one mans experience through the area in the 1800's. Really nice stop. Beautiful pieces. Some for sale.

Took a Princess cruise into Skagway. Instead of visiting all the trinket tourist shops we went looking for a trail head to a river where the salmon were spawning. We stumbled upon this hidden treasure. The art is top rate! The story told to us was the local dentist loved art and was also trying to get out word for summer tourism that would be summer employment for his children. The Doctor wrote to artists in the lower 48 states and asked them to come enjoy Alaska and pay with art. This is that collection! Beautiful bronze sculpture garden depicting the local treasures of Alaska. Admission was only $4. Clean restroom available on site. Wonderful employee shared stories with us. Such a nice break from the masses on the cruise and the trinket shops.
